Wow, I've listened to Dawn of Ashes for a few years but I've actually never listened to any interviews, so I didn't know until now that Kristof has such a pleasant voice!

Dawn of ashes is really underrated and under appreciated. They have a fantastic message with amazing song compositions.

This man is so right. The music industry is fck now a days. I still buy CDs but a lot has changed since the 90s. in my hometown(NL) there is the only one real music shop left that sells metal, industrial and alto music cd's(velvet music store Ede)

I'm a new fan. Im 15 and have a dream of making it in the music industry. Kristof you really opened my eyes to how the music world is. But i promise i am going to bust my ass to make it. And your music plus Psyclon Nine and Motionless In White make me really want my band to make it. But like you guys said its hard to find someone with dedication. ~ Joél Destruct

It was interesting to hear how hard bands really work for very little. It’s quite sad in all honesty. Good interview.

Great interview Metal!!There has alway's been a struggle to get the music to the people.In the 80's we had a different kind of struggle because we just needed a avenue to be heard, other than the radio.Now u can be heard on many different avenue's, but nobody is willing to pay for the music.

greatriffishere they werent always metal. they started out as industrial metal. the name dawn of ashes came from the terminator movie. why does chris heath take all the credit for DOA? what about joey rippel? you dont mention him cause he picked his family over the band. i wouldve done the same thing. he keeps saying 'my band' lol. more like noi tech's band.

If Kris still has a special significant other, rho I wish only the best, I do cry even if a very late DOA fan bc I have feelings 4this most beautiful ♊ 4what I know of him as much as I do. But hey....if he's truly happy w a beloved so be it. I hurt but me, just wishful thinking!!! ROFL 🙃🤣😑

So insane what he says about CDs. I PREFER CDs & hate digital downloads bc I like the sleeve copies & the authentic tangible sensation of actually owning the materialism of a band or celebs works. Same w DVDs & Blu Rays! I hate all this Amazon Fire & digital goods from on flat screen TVs. I still own a PS2, PS3, & DVD player!!!!! :p

4:40 - I just don't get what is "pop more into the band" in this context. Doesn't this mean that labels will promote the band more based on CDs sold?
@darkChristian5 жыл бұрын
DAWN of ASHES, is the best name for a HEAVY METAL band, keep them rolling buy a shirt and cd poster etc etc etc...METAL CAN'T DIE UNLESS WE DON'T SUPPORT THEM, I APPRECIATE ARTISTRY AND MUZIK this is a WICKED BAND, SUPPORT GOOD TALENT ALWAYS...WE COULD HAVE A GREAT METAL REVIVAL.
@void07026 жыл бұрын
Well, It's hard to support DOA when you're still considered a child :/ Cause they mostly play at bars and stuff. I guess just liking their stuff will do for now...
@thagirion97613 жыл бұрын
Yep, we were all there at one point. I was lucky, DOA came out right when I turned 19. You can still buy their merchandise online and support in other ways.
@void07023 жыл бұрын
@@thagirion9761 oh yes, of course! I bought their last album, I just want to see them live SO fucking bad lmao.

why is joey rippel never mentioned? without joey you guys would be no where. chris heath. chris beheamouth or however you spell it. joey was my celly for a long time in prison. he told me all about you chris heath and how you made him choose between his kids and family or the band. crazy dog hes not even mentioned once. joey made you guys

You always bring him up. Homeboy has probably moved on in life. Plus being locked up. You got other shit to worry about. Musician life is shitty and sad.

Theophany is fucking sick. @17:55 - 19:00 Kristof is right...This is why ive quit. Music sales are obsolete now, even the streaming services are a fucking rip off and elitist are lame. If i had the means to tour and get out on the road maybe i would of kept going. Bringem back. Next time ask about making the new album.

you would be better to be a tyrant.than a musician in these times.
