P.S. CJ's character arc from intro to exit was incredibly well handled.

The infection time relies on how long it takes for the bite to kill someone. Anna's husband had his throat torn out, so he died quickly.... Luda was basically grazed by the zombie's teeth, so it took a long time for the infection to spread and kill her. Nicole's father had a much more substantial bite on his hand, so he lived for a short while before the infection took him.
@shootingreal594520 күн бұрын
I also think one's own health plays a factor, there is a age difference between Nicoles dad and Luda, so like any infection, the time it takes to spread varies bc of this.

In that year. The best zombie movies in general are the Romero zombie movies.
@SgtCthulhu19 күн бұрын
@@Richardwho-vv5bh Dawn of the Dead (2004) is a remake of Romero's classic 1978 zombie film, while Shaun of the Dead takes inspiration from Romero's work with humor. Romero is the godfather of the zombie film genre, influencing countless films that followed if not all of them.

People love to hate on CJ, but he was the only one in the group who had any real survival instincts. The moment they took over from him was when everything started getting worse.
@shootingreal594520 күн бұрын
Yup..as soon as they took over they let that old bitten lady in..I am not trying to be mean but in this situation, you have to make tough calls and not be overwhelmed by emotions. The fact is CJ was right..moreover the mall doesn't have unlimited food, what happens when starvation sets in, you will then have the ppl inside the mall turning in a different way on each other..ppl need to think ahead when it comes to survival and that means making touch choices that don't sit well with us as human beings but they still have to be made..that's what separates survivors and leaders.
@jonathanparker177419 күн бұрын
Honestly still stings anytime I rewatch the movie and CJ dies, if Michael dropped the news he was bit sooner, he could have swapped with CJ and drew the zombies in and sacrificed himself instead of losing two people. CJ and Kenneth surviving would've be awesome but ehh
@L7704519 күн бұрын
CJ's character arc is amazing. Yeah, he had survival instincts in the beginning, but a lot of negative qualities as well. Makes it even more impressive when he becomes selfless and sacrifices his own survival instincts.
@orangewarm119 күн бұрын
'Survival instincts'? It's really a matter of whether you want to live for yourself or try to help the community. If CJ had his way, all those who came to him would be turned away.
@donaldseale270019 күн бұрын
@@orangewarm1 And by not turning people away is what ultimately got him and the others he was with killed. Even without the threat of letting in someone infected, the resources in that mall was limited. With every person that is let in, the time you can hold out is cut down. The days of caring about morality was over. It was all about survival.

For director’s cuts, there’s many reasons why director’s cuts aren’t the theatrical cut. Director’s cuts or extended additions usually just have extra scenes that were cut for time or pacing. So they’re usually not that different unless there’s a lot of scenes that were cut out for time. Director’s cut or new cuts of films that have been out for a while is just another opportunity for said film to make more money through the sales and publicity

Netflix were the morons that paid Zack Snyder to make a movie while also planning to realize a different version while dubbing it a directors cut, just to make money. That was a dumb idea that only Netflix has done, and it didn’t work out for them. Legit movie studios wouldn’t have done something so dumb, though they do dumb stuff all the time just not Netflix levels of dumb. Justice League, Zack Snyder was replaced by a different director, and that version sucked. Warner Bros listened to the fans and allowed Snyder to do extra scenes to make his version. That was a very very unique situation that isn’t likely to happen again. Warner Bros just really needed the money and they recognized an unusual opportunity. Director’s cut aren’t so different to the final product as Snyder Cut is.
