Mitra have ALL of my Compliments, Because he is not only having a straight Build Order for this, going to Tier3 and adding only the most necessary units, but also playing right into the IG-Strenghes, while holding defensive Forces as a Back-up. Well play Man! There's nothing more to say!

@Richard NZ I tried against harder difficulty necrons. Even when I knew exactly where they were coming I struggled to hold out at one choke point. Taking multiple attempts and still losing.

Junone, I'm the same (well I can, but it depends who vs who) for the most part. Watching this has given me a good idea though. I'm going to turn quick-start off, seems a bit counter-intuitive, but it should slow down earlier rushes! Have you seen the new Unification mod for SS, it looks beyond words amazing. I think even if you'd moved away from playing DoW, this mod would def. bring you back. Definitely the first thing I'm installing when I get a new laptop!

I did something like this as orks, they rushed me, I barely survived, then I camped their corpses with stealthed anti-tank and they never recovered... all their economy and build production went to reviving single units surrounded by instant death, over and over again, so the war was already won in the first 20 minutes.

Necron on insane is barely harder than Necron on hard though :| . Necrons don't really benefit from the resource boom since they're capped by slow start build speeds. That being said, 2 vs 5 is still pretty impressive even if it's on Jalaganda Lowlands (and you aren't using Tau + drone harbinger spamming XD). I'm just saying, try this vs. pretty much any of the other races and you'd probably get wrecked.

Yeah Necrons are the slowest army so that plays a role. If it was against a mix of armies would be a lot harder.

To be fair I don't know how this works. Every time I played this I was fairly early on my build order when the Necron commander strolled into my base and started wrecking chaos. By the time he started sending infantry I had already lost. Maybe I'm mixing skirmish with the campaign, but sure this is also the case on skirmish.

well their infantry is weak as fuck, but their vehicles are probably the best in the game

David Fryer Yeah. Baneblade is really good. Plus their defenses. Put a few weak guardsmen into an infantry thing and youve got a pretty solid defense. But yeah regular troops are bad. At least until you get plasma weapons on them. Then they are ok. you have to get your defenses up realy quickly though.

If used correctly their infantry can be of great effect. I used to get skull****** by my friend when he was playing tau, this was before I started switching my troops to assault stance and using hellhounds to burn everything in sight

Their big weakness is the fact that their Melee game is extremely weak, limited to One Ogryn squad and General. ((Though Priest makes them.pretty good. Four priests on general is fun.))

@@DF59821 Guardsmen without priests or Comissars are weak. Fully upgraded and with priests/commis they are among the best infantry in the game.

@@xxx_dunkmaster_xxxquicksco4390 Doesnt work like that for necrons. They don't use resources as such. They just take a long time to spawn in. The time is shortened by capturing points and such.
