Hi Bob, thanks a lot, yes getting fitter for some summer missions. Managed to pull out a 100 mile session out of the bag in 5 hours 24 mins last weekend. Training will be put to good use when I take to bigger seas! Cheers

Great adventure 🙂 I install a flashing white LED at the top of the mast for late sailing. But I don't sail for hours on end - max. 3 hours stints. That ruhm must have gone straight to where it warms you up !

Great video Henry. You're putting me to shame sat here in my nice warm office with dinghy at the boatyard!!! Sea state and wind looked perfect for any sailing craft. Just goes to show if you plan right then winter on the sea can be fine. What clothing did you wear for the trip? Just to correct you slightly on the "liverpool" Cathedral. There are in fact 2 Cathedrals in Liverpool. The modern Catholic one and the more classic Anglican one, that was in fact finished after the modern one!! You can see both from the River and mouth of the Mersey and on a very clear day you can see Blackpool tower from the top of the Anglican one.

Another great sail. I’m a lightweight and probably not going out until spring now 😢. Ah the submerged wall, yes I’ve hit that when learning to sail fortunately my boat had a lifting keel so it hit it and rode over the wall before dropping again. It’s all a leaning curve 😂

I once windsurfed downwind and behind one of those hovercraft in Lee on Solent. Felt like it went from 20kts to 60 and I got absolutely destroyed. Don’t sail behind a hovercraft kids!

I wonder if they will ever make a hydrofoil - longboard combination. Might be fantastic for long distance windsurfing with the hydrofoil mast acting like a dagger board in sub foiling winds. Efficiency of a foil combined with the light wind safety of a long board would be a fantastic combination

Well that would be phenomenal but the phantom is 14.7kg so would need a breeze to get airborne! Love the concept though!
