His life was in REAL danger at least 3 times in this movie - when he met with the kidnappers, when he was in Isreal, when he was camping with those guys and the MMA bit at the end. In fact they had to make a secret escape hatch and had a car ready to get out of there and almost got arrest for inciting a riot and crossing state boarders. It's real.

Before "Da Ali G Show", before the "Borat" and "Brüno" movies, nobody outside the UK knew they were characters, people's reactions were real. For "Borat 2" and "Who Is America?", Sacha Baron Cohen used new prosthetics so that people wouldn't recognize him and have a real reaction. His commitment to staying in character in high-stress environments is truly amazing.

At 8:30, the silver haired man was Congressman Ron Paul, R-TX, who had been running for US President earlier in 2008. He was unaware of Cohen but naively thought he was a German news interviewer. Among his college aged supporters few were amused. It was a dark time after the stock mkt collapse so tempers were short. Cohen was taking a risk or two.

He almost got himself killed with couple things 😅 Like when he is chased the crew lost him and he had to hide into a random shop asking them to hide him. Also they had for the ending like a tunnel to get out of there for knowing it might go Craazy 😂 People just weren't expecting it again as big so you don't Reeaally notice it's him. He's going all out for knowing after this he cannot really exactly do it. He after years of storybased movies with his characters and other acting he did go into this format again. When he did do This Is America that is a series where is multiple characters, they had to be Heavily masked with say prostethics so people don't recognize him. There was instances that some characters didn't work at all and he was instantly recognized. Some did so good that people had to resign form offices 😅

What always got me about this movie is how much more offensive people found it than Borat. Borat - the movie that had 2 naked men in a 69 fight. There's nothing in this movie that is more extreme than Borat. The character just happens to be gay. As for the male full frontal scene, Forgetting Sarah Marshall had that. Nobody cared. Is this as good a movie as Borat? Not quite, in my view. But in terms of "extreme" content, I don't know. Granted, I think even some gay people might have been put off by some of Bruno's antics, but that's beside the point. A lot of straight people in Borat were put off by Borat's antics. It's just a movie. Again, not as good as Borat, but that was lightning in a bottle.

The arena part is 100% real, they had to escape with an extra hatch pre planned to get out of there. Americans are quite sensitive as has been proven multiple times, especially so during sacha's times when he did his stuff. But there's still some that as just as sensitive still. And ye if you watch borat 2, you'll see a scene where he had to have multiple security guards to help him away from the scene, they would've killed him.

Wasn't nearly as well received as Borat. For a number of reasons, just didn't work as well. I use this expression often, especially with comedy sequels, so the pun will seem intended, but I feel Cohen got too cocksure about what worked in Borat, but it just didn't work quite the same magic here. Still pretty funny throughout.
