When you're busy reacting, you're not paying attention.
@jlhanlon198022 сағат бұрын
@@blechtic that literally makes no sense at all. Anytime you watch a movie, you react to it, so being in front of camera has no relevancy to that, it's just that people really are bad at remembering key points of the plot. And it's not just reactors I've seen people while I'm watching movies confuse and even myself sometimes has forgotten certain things.
@m626m21 сағат бұрын
I've seen a few notice the letter.
@blechtic21 сағат бұрын
@@jlhanlon1980 These people are creating entertainment, not focusing on watching the movie. I'm not saying they're not earnest in what they do but there's a world of difference to intently focusing on watching a movie and either being entertaining on a camera or simply not being fully immersed. Sometimes you're just not fully paying attention and that's okay, as long as it's okay for you, but what you can't do on a reaction channel is being fully immersed, not saying anything or not having outward reactions, because then there isn't much monetisable reactions there. There has to be actual content to a reaction channel. I get that there are people livestreaming themselves sleeping and whatever but that's not a reaction channel. Like, doing a reaction in an actual movie theater would a really shitty thing to do to the rest of the audience and the commentary would still cause you to miss parts of the movie. The thing about the letter goes past pretty fast in what seems like a lull, which tend to be the prime moments to voice out comments. It's just that movies aren't made with the idea of having someone live-commenting on them in mind, nor should they. If one was to infurientingly comment only during action scenes, they'd miss out on those, story-wise pointless, details but get all the details of the story.

After that stealing from the guys house and Willie going to the club is not in the theatrical version.

Thornton later collected an Oscar for his Sling Blade (1996) screenplay.

Wonderful reaction. I need to re-watch this movie. Funny thing is that the first time I saw it I did it as part of my job, as I was doing subtitle translation to swedish of it, and I loved it so much that I actually bought the DVD at a later date. Only time I've done that with something I previously done as a job. I also have as a special memory from this job that the company I did the job for had as a policy that you should not clean up the language to make it more acceptable. And they came back and complained. I had to clean up some of it, not because I wanted to make it more acceptable, but swearing easily get edited out when you have to conserve space in subtitles. I argued with the company, but finally had to put back a lot of swearing, although I did with protest. Hope the subtitles still were readable for the viewers. I saw Bad Santa 2 a couple of years ago (at a Christmas), but as far as I recall, it was not at all at the same level as the first one.

Film is packed with comedians. John Ritter was on Three's Company a huge sit com in the 70s, Bernie Mac is a Chicago stand up comic. Granny is Cloris Leachman who you should have recognized as Frau Blucher in Young Frankenstein as well as having her own spin off sit com from The Mary Tyler Moore show. Lauren Graham starred in Gilmore Girls but she is also very good friends with Scottish comedian Craig Ferguson and appeared on his Late Night Show numerous times.
