Last time they ran the Yo-Kai event they cut it down in half the grind so you can finish it in a single longer session

Its not like "oh one little thing is changed" being the problem folks have with the new faces, its "wow that's a lot of little things changed that add up", so much so that there's something uncanny about how their character looks.

18:45 As someone who also appriciates Bisexual Gemstones, I spend them on crafting materials, because I am also a crafter. And if you're not, then you can sell them on the MB for money. It's a good system, actshually 🤓

I can't say enough how much I've enjoyed your all's unique perspective on things. Often times I either just mildly disagree or totally agree with you all. However, I strongly disagree with your takes on the benchmark. 1. We should assume it's not final it's just a demo for performance: If there wasn't a graphical upgrade, and if Yoshi himself hadn't included that as part of the benchmark, I would agree. However, this is our first hands on and it is now apart of the demo. Whether it's final or not, this is what we're given and I absolutely think it's valid for everyone to take it at face value. 2. We shouldn't complain now, instead complain after live: This is the biggest opinion I disagree with. As a long time player of XIV, having seen Yoshi hired on, etc, now is absolutely the right time to complain; the game is still in development, there can still be last minute changes without disrupting the game, they can still prioritize these changes instead of putting it on the bottom of the list (Viera hats and Hrothgar everything hair / hat). Absolutely people should complain now so they can work on fixing it. You're totally correct, we are very spoiled as a community with Yoshi. However, we should go and explain our grievances on (imo) very unnecessary facial shape changes. The devs should know how we feel (positive and negative). I know this was posted 10days ago, but the NA forums have loads of screenshot comparisons with drawings on the pictures to show just how drastic these changes are. Sure, there's some to attribute to lighting, but no amount of shading will alter the actual changed shape of the eyes / lips / chin. Of course this doesn't go without saying, not all changes were bad. Personally I found the Elezen / Highlanders amongst the best upgrades, while Aura Male / Lalafell looked the same to me. Thank you all for your podcast, it's great listening to your thoughts and opinions! I apologize if this seemed negative, but I feel very strongly about speaking up now compared to how I used to be before.

I don't agree with the benchmark just being something to make sure your computer can run the game. Why would they include the character creator, if that was the case-including a new race? Why include Hildibrand easter eggs? It's obviously also there to build hype-look at all the people analyzing it. Especially in this case, they want you to see how your character will look in the graphical update and all the changes. That's why they're giving everyone a free fantasia, in case you don't like what they look like and can see beforehand what you could change it to. As we all know, the character creator isn't necessarily how they'll look in-game, so this is a better way to see them. If there's something wrong with your ability to see the changes, it makes perfect sense for them to fix this.

with the benchmark, I was worried they'd shrink the fem roe noses to make them 'prettier' and thankfully they didn't do that, and the lips no longer look plastic, so that's good. but none of the clothing options looked good on her lol, it really feels like there were a lot of little updates to the way the femroe body looks which added up to what felt like a big change, but that might just be my mind struggling to catch up with the updates. so I'm holding off final judgement until I see her in her actual clothes that I've painstakingly picked out cos they actually look good on her.

I am more bum that we are not getting new minions than new weapons for the Yo-kai Watch CoLab. Also I'm with R'ollo Bi-colored Gemstones is one of my favorite activities to do to level and get rewards. I hardly ever did fates before and now I do them often because there are still items I want from the fates. I have all of the music & minions. Plus the housing items are nice, they also aren't insanely overpriced so you can grind out like 6-7 fates to get them. I wish they would add rewards to the V&C dungeons too but I don't want them to take away from Bi-colored Gemstones to do that.
