There’s PLENTY to do in FFXIV. I still wish I had more glamour storage so I can add all the crafted trial weapons that glow.

CBU2 Develops DQ10 and CBU3 Manages the Online Tech and Network Code for DQ10, Any gameplay elemented changes for DQ10 are still managed by the CBU2 Manager, but im sure they talk to Yoshi P and many at CBU3 anyway since gameplay changes in an Online game are better referenced if you have other online games that have done similar changes before, With CBU3 fully running FFXI and FFXIV, that being said when CBU3 developed Dragon Quest Builders, that team was also in close contact with CBU2 because they are the core managers of DQ at Square, Theres a ton of cross pollination at Square since the CBU system was developed where as before they were more isolated.

Anyone mentions DQX, and I will appear. I'm ready to be angered. You can alter the stats on gear via the crafting options available. Crafting DQX is cracked. However stats kinda suffer from the same issues as XIV. Crit/CritDmg is still king, but not to such a massive extent. Overall it's closer to XI than it is XIV, but better, newer, and mouse support. The encounter balance generally works in such a way that whatever you can do to win is enough. For a long time there was a damage share cheese in there version of Ultimates using Sages that effectively replaced tanks for a while, this was nerfed in version 6 and replaced by Rez spamming Druids or Death Masters. Most of the time these fights ended up looking like c41 UCoB. Eventually their first Master Class was released, Guardian, basically a better paladin. I personally don't like the concept of simply better jobs/vocations. Story wise. . . this is what makes me angry. Custom handmade animations, why? How? How are they able to do this on the Crystal Tools engine, and keep their dev cycle!? I also appreciate X doing something that no other mainline Dragon Quest game has done, something that only spinoffs have dabbled in. DQX does so many things better than XIV, little things here and there regarding differences in netcode, but it's nice to see XIV working on it, like with the shield changes in Endwalker. Still baffles me how these two teams work in the same building. It's a great game tho, probably the easiest of the three Squenix MMO's to simple try, as you don't need an account for their free trial.
