Thank God I found a video to show me how to get these stupid door panels off! All I can find is for the model before and after. Thank you!!!!

On my 2009 Armada, those little screws are 5.5mm. Ratcheting wrench is what I used.
@carloszambrano13382 жыл бұрын
Instead of the socket wrench set you used (couldn't find it anywhere, normal these days) i got a ratcheting wrench from amazon 7/32 $8, really tight space, i remove the center bezel too just to have better vision of what i was doing it, my symptom was no cooling on the driver side, after get 2 wrong parts delivered, tried a swap of the electrical motor and it work again, Cheers (yes my repair was the further in next to the firewall)

The new actuators don't have internal stops. So if you let them spin around outside of the cage or ruin them. They're allowing for the blend door or the Mode door to be the bump stops. I found that out the hard way on a Ford vehicle.
@dawveed262 жыл бұрын
Maybe they are different with Ford, because mine spun freely for no telling how long until I fixed the broken stop tab on the air diverter plate. They both work perfectly now.
@dclmac2 жыл бұрын
I put a screw to replace the triangle tab that broke off. I did not use an insert like you did. I have spent a lot of time trying to figure out what that tab is for and if my 'screw fix' would actually work, with no luck. Before I put it all back together, I would like to know what that is for and if replacing it with a simple screw will work.

If I remember correctly, it's the one on top that's ridiculously hard to get to. Good luck!

@@dawveed26 do I get to that one from the passanger side that's the one where the glove box gets taken off and it up top to the left?

Hello, thank you for a great video. Will you be interested to do this work on my 2010 QX56? Do you live in New York/NJ area? I will pay for your service.

Thank you for your interest, but I live in Oklahoma, so I will not be able to do that for you. But thanks again

Yes, Oklahoma is a little bit to far. Thank you. Have a good day.

Great video - thanks for sharing. What did the actuator below the glove compartment control valve the actuator up behind the dash? My Armada cannot blow heat in the passenger side (dual climate control). Is that the actuator below the glove compartment or behind the dash?
@dawveed263 жыл бұрын
I believe the lower controls the passenger side, but I honestly can't remember if that's correct. You can remove the lower actuator and move the mixer flap by hand to see which it controls to know for sure
@johnjmacc69773 жыл бұрын
Yeah the bottom is the passenger. The one on top out of the box is driver side.. That one is out for me and nissan wants $400 to replace it. Ive heard you can replace it without taking the dash out but I don't see how
@dawveed263 жыл бұрын
John Renner, I did it without removing the dash but it's a bear for sure. Extremely tight spaces
@moto61933 жыл бұрын
@@johnjmacc6977 So, I ended up replacing both actuators. The passenger side controlling actuator is easy. The drivers side controlling actuator - the one hidden under the dash - took a little planning. I ended up needing 3 things to be able to change out the under-dash actuator (without actually removing the dash); 1) A low-profile socket (5.5mm or 7/32"), 2) a cheap endoscope camera from Amazon so I could actually see what I was dealing with, and 3) small-to-medium sized hands. I think the average adult male-sized hands are too large to be able to remove all three screws. I ended up asking my 12-year old son and my wife for help removing two of the screws after I had loosened them with the tools. Similarly, I had them place the screws and start them (1-2 turns) with their hands and then I could do the rest with the tools. With these three key ingredients, it was about a 20-minute job to get the actuator out and a 15-min job to install the new one.

I have issue with my Nissan armada 2017. It is blowing cold air when it's on 61 but when I turned to 62. It blows very hot air. The air is so hot you can't even sit in front of it. Can you please help me out to diagnose the issue. Recently took to mechanic. They said it's the ac control head. So they have put the new one .but issue still exits. Do you think any sensor fault or somethings else?
@dawveed26 Жыл бұрын
It sounds like the coolant mixer under the hood. Check my other video about the gears in that mixer and check yours to find out if that's the issue or rule it out. Good luck!

I fixed mine, so don't know the number. You could always call the dealer for that information. They usually use your VIN number to find the exact part.

Mine is doing the same thing good video i replaced the driver side that was easy but they are 5 under the dash I am having issues with 4 of them. Then they are one in rear which is easy to replace. Where did u get that little wrench that the sockets fit into I need one of them.

Jeremy, it is a Kobalt set I purchased from Lowes more than ten years ago. I'm not sure if they still sell it. Good luck with your repairs!

7/32" socket fit well for me, so a metric of equivalent size will probably work the same. I don't know what size that would be in metric

Hey, why don't you go full throttle in creating content for KZbin? You would be perfect for that. Just do better thumbnail and title and you will do a good ammount of views per day.

@waza3350 i appreciate the comment. At this time in my life, I'm so busy that I don't have the time to invest in it. I'm running a successful hvac business, building my house, and have a baby on the way, plus a million other projects. If things ever settle down a bit, I'll put more effort into it. Until then, you'll get the occasional video with poor editing 😆
