This is a great example of how 'to care about anything is to be a hypocrite'. Because life isn't a single answer its a conversation that never stops. I find Macdonald someone I'd have many disagreements about fundamental things to the point i need to check myself while listening to him. This kind of dialog can be very constructive when everyone acts towards understanding. Which can be difficult when works views differ wildly

It could also mean "Don't buy into the bullshit," since that is primarily what propaganda is. When so many people tell a person the same propaganda with the same amount of conviction, that person tends to get sucked in because they doubt what they know to be truth. AS LONG AS THEY AREN'T MALICIOUS IN INTENT.. IT'S OK! Someone thinks A. and I think B. ok, cool, why? alright now what about this. there should always be base things we all agree on. Like human rights. BASE human rights. Cause the phrase Human rights is getting tagged in damned near everything nowadays it seems. I hope anyone reading this is doing well, If you've lost someone recently I'm sorry for your loss. I'd disagree about finding someone who disagrees with EVERY SINGLE THING about your life. Being able to stand in your values is important and some things you need to stay stead fast in. I will give two examples, something I can compromise on and be around an opposite and then something where there is no "being tolerant" or "entertaining" certain non sense. First example of compromise, I am very anti ruling class (the fact they exist and positions of power with rights no other humans has existing IS THE PRIMARY CAUSE of all our ills) however I don't really care if another individual thinks we need say small ruling class institutions, so long as they can and will concede that their ideas can only be implemented voluntarily and not over an area or group(s) of people which have not consented to their bullshittery. Second example of something that is 100% a line in the sand, running away from responsibility, if you as an individual do this you will cause serious harm to me and mine due to your own inability to human correctly and no there is no reason to entertain that bullshit.

Before reading I'd also like to point out I'm pansexual and genderfluid, I know that doesn't seem important, but considering we're talking about someone you probably perceive as hating people like me, I think it's worth mentioning. This may not convince you of anything and you probably won't even read it, but I like typing. Tom does not use propaganda. He's a very centrist rapper most of the time. I could see people saying his recent album with Acal was Republican propaganda, but that's more to do with Acal than it is Tom. Tom just speaks what's on his mind and tends to switch between showing right and left leaning views. He doesn't play sides as much as people think, as I'm about to explain. Not singling you out, just using this as an opportunity to explain if you're willing to listen. "If I was Black" is a song about the struggles black people go through and the feelings they have, which he had his black friends help him write. A song that pissed off the far-right, a lot. "Whiteboy" was a response to the influx of people calling him racist due to "Dear Rappers" as everyone thought he was singling out black rappers, when he wasn't.. like at all. A song that pissed off the far-left, a lot. He's had multiple songs where he says he doesn't like republicans or democrats, or simply that he's somewhere in the middle. He's even called it out saying that people just assume that since he hates far-left liberals that he must be republican, which isn't true. He's said he doesn't care if people are trans he just doesn't like that there are a million different genders, which is a pretty middle of the fence opinion. Etc, etc... I don't always agree with everything he says, firstly because he speaks from 2 different sides with sometimes opposing opinions, secondly because he does sometimes get things wrong as does everyone, thirdly and most importantly because that's kind of the point, he doesn't want you to agree with everything, because he doesn't care for propaganda. At the end of the day, even if his political songs were propanganda, which they aren't, it wouldn't take away from the good his songs about depression, addiction, cancer, etc do for people. He inspires people and makes a lot of people happy and that's all that matters. His community is very supportive and loving too. I came out to his fans in his subreddit and they showed nothing but support and acceptance.
@Weazla-2 жыл бұрын
@@zacharylyell6299 he just steals left wing messages, says that they're centrist views, uses them for views and, as most grifters do, uses them to shield him from criticism. If someone, who actually talks about politics, calls themselves a centrist then they're a right wing grifter trying to appeal to people who don't really understand politics, that's his gimmick, he just relies on enough Americans being politically illiterate and only knowing about Democrats and Republicans. Also he has a song with two hogs who said they'd kill leftists.
@zacharylyell62992 жыл бұрын
@@Weazla- do you have proof he steals left wing messages? How do you know he isn't just thinking them? Even if he is stealing them, who's to say he isn't also stealing right leaning ideas? I talk about politics on occasion and I consider myself a centrist.. you gonna tell me that I, the pansexual and genderfluid person, am a far right grifter? Why? Because I don't agree with every single one of your policies? Do you have any proof that he, I, and others who consider themselves centrist are faking it? What about all the more left leaning people who call themselves centrist? Are they far right grifters? What about all the people who have talked to Tom in person or on the phone in their own personal life and have shared that when they talk about politics he doesn't come off as a republican? What about how right before he blew up he was talking about how he didn't like Trump? You're just saying "all centrists are far right, so he's far right" when you have no proof of any of that. Perhaps I'm using the term centrist too liberally here, if so my bad. I don't mean apolitical or completely neutral, which I guess would technically be the meaning. I mean someone who agrees with certain things and disagrees with other things from both "political sides", in a way that puts them more toward the center than either side. Of course there's no direct center, it's a spectrum with more than just Dems and Republicans, but you get the point. I personally just don't like associating with a particular party and plan to just vote on whoever I feel has my best interest in mind, so I call myself a centrist. Also, shielding from criticism? You don't know Tom very well if you think he cares about being shielded from criticism. Also, what song? I believe I've heard all of his songs that are available on KZbin, but that's not one I've heard. Is it an album exclusive? Btw again, to quote one of his songs, "I hate the libtards, so I must be republican" that line is sarcasm btw. Just because he hates libs, doesn't mean he's right leaning. He has called the right ignorant and said he hates both sides. Here's how you come off btw. "He's not left leaning and he hates the left so he's most definitely a far right, republican, asshole, grifter. I have no proof, but it's true I promise."
@wsn00092 жыл бұрын
@@Weazla- lol, you basically exposed the radical nature of the left by claiming any centrist is a RW grifter in disguise.
