As a 20-year career disabled USAF officer I had to watch this with tears in my eyes because although I was a soldier in the truest sense of the word, in the Warzone in which I fought, I am sad to say I folded when my family needed me most because of my PTSD. Many heartfelt thanks to my brother, #DAX, and to #tommcdonald (who is more American than most who are born on this soil)! Thanks to all of my buddies who fought alongside me and those who are serving today! #PAX

It is ok for a man to be a man. It is also ok for 2 men to write a song supporting men. I appreciate this song for all the levels presented. Great reaction!

America needs more fathers in the home. We all struggle with the pressure that comes with being a man or a woman. Both genders have a different type of struggle in the family unit. I appreciate my hard working husband that has been working and providing for his family for over 30 years. And every day I tell him how much we as a family appreciate all his sacrifices. Love to all the soldiers out there making the sacrifices to support and protect their family. ❤ ✌️❤️🤘

Hang Over Gang in the house. This old vet pulled up a chair to catch your reaction. Being i am a divorced vet with TBI and PTSD, who exists under a homeless program for vets, yeah this hits hard for me. You know we have lost more vets sense 9/11 at there own hands, than we have lost in all are military engagements across the world in the same time frame. So i ask, what battle is our brother and sisters losing and who are they losing too. You kind of made me smile when you talked about size. I went in a week after turning 17. I was 5'1" tall and weighed 105 1/2 pounds. My duffle bag was almost as big as me. I spent almost my whole active 4 years with the Army 1st Inf. Before i was old enough to drink. (Old enough to kill or die, but not to drink ) Three months after receiving my Honorable, i joined and did 4 years with the Coast Guard. Spent almost 20. Years with DOD contractors. Now i just exist. Life, it is what it is.

Man.... This is why i have a problem with the whole "thank you for your service" thing... The people that say that are usually clueless they tend to not understand what happens on the back end.... It may sound insensitive... But thoses aren't sensitive men... And there are better ways to let them know they are appreciated... Just giving them a platform to speak on their problems, buy them a cup of joe and talking to them is a much better approach... Shout out that to remain unnamed korean war vet i spent 2 hours talking to... Shout out my hs buddies that saw combat in gwot... Buy them a beer.... If they wanna talk they will... Alot of these guys realize "thank you for your service" isnt for them to feel better its for you... If you really admire them in that way show it without words... Is 10 minutes of your day that much to ask?

Exactly. We never expect a civvy to understand what we did and still deal with, the self-imposed isolation begs for connection but won't let so many of us initiate it so as not to inflict our issues on someone. Whether they either aren't ready for it, won't accept it, or were just offering a customary response.

I have friends and family that have faught for this country in our military none died while over there but one killed himself due to PTSD not long after he got back I actually blamed myself for him doing it because I spoke a lot to him over Xbox and used to say I wish I could have spoken to him more to help him with what I knew he was going through it these days I understand it wasn't my fault and there wasn't anything else I could've done to prevent it that's ok this I'm saying to say there's an old saying "when you're pushed killing is as easy as breathing" Sylvester Stallone said it as John Rambo

I think its possible for both things to be true, in fact its the only way it makes sense. Women need men to stand up for them to have their rights; thus it is imperative that we do. At the same time we can respect and appreciate what makes us different.

I think Tom's verse is touching on the fact that the military today has a problem with wokeness, and the argument about transgender soldiers and how that puts lives at risk.

But here you are stinking up the place with your ignorance
@Loyaltoafault210Ай бұрын
Your ignorance is showing. If you look in the comments across YT in all reaction videos and their videos veterans are thanking them throughout. And they are men so I think they can relate to that. It’s obviously a double and metaphor for veterans and then everyday men.
@lauraclark427Ай бұрын
So only a soldier can sing about being a soldier? And all the rappers out there pushing drugs and lean and thug life are actually living that on the daily?
@squeasel09Ай бұрын
@@lauraclark427 rappers that do it, do it for money. Which is also what these clowns are doing. They're really helping disabled and homeless vets with their YT songs
