the end fabulously shows how important a bass is [to (such) music]. at first you may think "ew, he plays the same thing for 5 minutes and its just two different notes..." but then he stops playing and the whole song loses its structure... the guitar sounds small n empty and the drums sound weird and random.... then he returns and within 2 notes, everything makes sense again. juan is so cool

Just because mistakes were made does not mean it wasn't beautiful. Mistakes open up opportunities, and Juan handled it phenomenally.

Many thanks! I knew he wouldn't be playing with them, but I imagined Omar would have someone else filling the role. Interesting. Should be good to hear, can't wait for the videos to start hitting the 'tube.
Oh yes, mistakes are truly an important part of live performance! Not everybody can easily handle it. And Juan is awesome!

Yeah, thanks, for the info, but I'm well aware of Omar's huge catalog of albums. Just would be nice to hear like some new songs from just these 3 dudes. Really liked their stripped down playing with no keyboards, singers, or sound manipulators. Just a thought, guess we'll just have to tune to the bosnian rainbows for now.

Teri will be singing in Omar's group which will not have bass this time around - it's something new and stuff no one has heard yet, it's super amazing as well. So no Le butcherettes playing and no Juan for this run - deantoni will be playing drums though" -cathy on the sargent house formspring
