I definitely get the reservation of asking God for a sign and jumping to conclusions. However I have also asked for signs or confirmation and he has 100% delivered through a word through those called in his name. I don't think any one should demand but if your asking in pure intentions I think God will reveal himself and his will for you. Matt. 7:7 "Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.

Isaac represented so much. He was a promise from God, for sure, but Abraham's entire purpose as well as many future prophecies beyond Abraham hinged on Isaac (he couldn't father a specific bloodline/nation through which Jesus was ordained to come through without a God ordained son). He was also the culmination of decades of waiting for a dream to be fulfilled and working toward a successful end goal. We all have Isaacs: we all have dreams & goals & successes & directions in life that we want to achieve either for personal satisfaction or to build a foundation for our future or kids. Many of us strive and grind towards it & we tie our entire identity to achieving. Sometimes the Lord tests us like He tested Abraham: sometimes He provides us with a ram, and sometimes He requires us to complete the sacrifice. The question for us is will we be willing and obedient in either scenario and trust that God's plans & thoughts in either case are good and not evil to bring us to an expected and ordained end. Tough question, tough test...will you pass?

Heart check: The Lord will Provide relates to my healing. With what He is doing for me, I truly believe it. I sometimes think it is very complicated to submit to God’s promises. As of right now, I do not think there is anything for me to worry about. I often ask demand a miracle that would immediately happen, and I sometimes feel like it is an obligation to do so.I believe that people see my faith in God in what I experience. Deep Dive: 1. I believe that Abraham was very faithful to God, no matter what the circumstances were. 2. The story of Abraham and Isaac has always strengthened my faith because I know what it parallels to. 3. Sometimes, I do wonder if Abraham’s character makes sense to me. 4. Even if may not seem so, I do assume that this must indeed happen. 5. God’s providence often goes over my head a bit, but I do see it though.

Food for thought: Genesis 22:8 KJV Abraham said, My son, God will provide HIMSELF A LAMB for a burnt offering. Your bible translation says "God will provide FOR himself THE lamb for a burnt offering" I read into this as God is himself a lamb for sacrifice.

I think the Abraham and Isaac sacrifice is one of the hardest stories in the Bible. I have trouble with it myself. If God knows all, then he would know that Abraham's faith was strong enough, why would he need to test him? My brain explains it that maybe He wasn't testing Abraham for His own sake, but for Abraham's. Maybe he needed Abraham to see that he had to and he could trust God completely. He needed him to see that, even if he didn't understand and God's command didn't make sense to him, he could trust him. Maybe he needed Abraham (and all who followed) to see that God would provide for then even in the darkest times. 🤷‍♀️
