I’m in disbelief about this water topic. Is this an English thing that ur told not to give ur babies water till after 6 months?? I’m honestly in shock and cannot think of one good reason why u would never give ur baby water? The poor things can get thirsty just like us. Extra water can help with bowels can help with dry skin of wind/digestive issues.

Water can be introduced in a sippy or straw cup. We started with dr. Brown straw cup. And it shouldn’t fill them up. You want it to go with their food times. It shouldn’t take the place of their formula or breastmilk . BLW will get easier! It is fun!

When my mom was starting my baby brother on solids, we tried the mesh food thing but he didn't like it, cant be anything hot nor cold, if its hot and you want them to eat it soon ish, stick it in the fridge for a couple of minutes so it'll cool close to room temp, and remember every baby is different so don't worry if he takes a little while to adjust

Keep doing the same things your doing. Just be very careful with what you feed him. NOTHING WITH HONEY UNTIL 1 YEAR ATLEAST! Other then that you guys are doing awesome. There is a puree blender and bagging thingy to save to the stress of choking but other then that just soft foods. He may like sweet potatoes. What I did was cut the potatoes in half and bake at 350 till soft. Mush them and feed. Super good. Also the water thing yes you can introduce water. I suggest starting with adult cups( open top cups) as it will stop the need of a pacifier and will help when taking him off the bottle

My mom says that about me and Gin, we did not find this out until I was in my 20s and could actually drink, but first time trying Gin loved it but apparently the face I made was very funny and definitely did not look like I enjoyed it. I am 29 now and apparently still kind of make a face when drinking gin but I do really love it, despite the face.

Always have a bottle or a sippy cup whatever you use and have purified water in it and when he gets fussy give it to him instead of a pacifier or toy right away. just so you can introduce it to him so he drinks some you just have to keep giving it to him throughout the day. Because he's young he's not going to drink the whole thing of water right away he'll just drink a little bit at a time and then probably throw it on the floor lol

Our 19 year old would eat lunch and take a nap while my mother in law watched home when I ran to our business during the week for a few months after I started him on baby food and sneak him pudding and fruits. I couldn’t figure out why he wouldn’t eat veggies at all any more. When I found out I was really upset because I told her he couldn’t have them yet. To this day he will not touch them. The other 7 kids love them. She didn’t believe me about doing veggies only for a while and that he had to have fruit too (or in her case only fruit and pudding)

BLW is more about fine motor skills right now because Koazy will get most of his nutrients from formula. As long as he’s picking up food and feeling different textures I wouldn’t worry too much about how much is actually being consumed. Hope this helps!☺️

You mentioned giving baby water, which is a great idea to help him with getting his food down, or out. I currently have a baby who likes to sip the water and then spit it all out 😂 its just whatever they want basically. Hey Liana! I’m a Nurse Practitioner student in a pediatric rotation right now. We usually don’t recommend giving water to babies until they’re about 1, any age less than 1 should still be getting formula or breast milk only which hydrates them perfectly. The thing about giving water over milk is that you can make their little tummies full of water and they won’t want to drink milk which has all the fats and nutrients that they need to grow. It’s okay to give them a few tablespoons here and there to get them used to the idea of water, but really milk is all that babies need! Between 6-12 months it’s okay to give them about 2-4 ounces of water per day (30-60 mL). After the age of 1 their water intake will increase as they naturally wean off of breast milk, still usually only 8 oz (240 mL) in one day. I hope that helps! Koazy is so adorable ❤

My mum used to mix certain foods she knew I wasn't allergic to (like vegetables and something soft like mashed potatoes) and put them in these little moulds and freeze them. One tip, I got from a pediatric allergist is that when introducing foods that are allergenic, it is best to place Vaseline around the nose and mouth because you want the baby to ingest the food, not get the food topically. This is especially important for nut butters. It’s important that the baby is able to swallow, not only taste the allergenic foods. You’ll get the hang of it, mama!

The solid starts app is a great resource to learn how and when to serve solids for BLW. Water will help with pooping as baby starts consuming more solids. It's great to introduce the allergens early and often to reduce the chance of developing an allergy later on.

Water can be introduced at 6 months, just put it into a bottle or sippy cup if he can drink from one. I started off always offering water during meals and as mine got older I started to offer it between meals and when she seemed to take to drinking water pretty well I'd just keep a sippy cup of water on hand or where she could reach it and help herself. Hope this helps!! ☺️

Clean Water is so healthy. It seems that the medical industry has forgotten how 8 billion people have been brought into this world and it’s not from the poison that they have been exposing us to Go Back To The Old Ways Of Living It Worked.

You remove the white of the egg to test it out on kids... The yoke is the safest part and contains all the minerals. Also unless they can sit up and are not 6months or over even 9 months eggs probably is not the place to start. Because the digestive system has not completed its closure and is still open fully till age 9 months which highlights children to allergy issues.

Babies gag reflexes are in the middle of their mouth not at the back like ours. So with the banana he might have gagged on it a lil bit

Don't forget to add water to his diet if he's starting on solid foods. Without water, he won't poop out the solid waste. 😅

You're doing great. Don't worry about how much he eats. It's about introducing textures, and tastes to babies as well as working on fine motor skills. As for introducing water. If he's over 6 months, it's ok to try. It will take him time to learn how to suck out of a sippy or straw. You can also try a halo cup. It's also not about how much they're drinking when it comes to water. It's about experiencing it. They get their hydration from the milk
