This video is great. It gives me an idea of what to expect. I have been trying to decide between UMPI Your Pace Program and WGU. Now that you have been at it for a while, how are the classes? Are they super difficult? Is it possible to go through 1 class a week or every 2 weeks? How many milestones or assignments does each class have on average? For the papers, how many pages do they usually require? DO you have any tips, if I decide to go through UMPI? Thanks.

BTW, I have a lot of anxiety as well. I do take medicine and it helps control it, but of course you can't cure it completely.

I think you can through classes every 2 weeks. They’re not bad. Some classes are not difficult than others. My advice is to take as many courses at Sophia and then transfer them to UMPI. You only need to take 10 classes at UMPI to graduate

How did your term go? Are there other classes that you have to have observation hours for or is it just that one? Can you opt for watching videos instead of doing observation hours?

It went pretty well, I’ll do an updated video very soon. I just watched the videos. I didn’t do any observation hours. Just 20 hours of videos.

Yes, it’s 100% online. It’s paper and projects so you wouldn’t go to campus for testing

Are they like WGU are the exam are proctored?

The yourpace program is kind of like it, there’s no proctored test. You write papers, do projects/presentations. Nobody monitors you. No weekly calls either

It depends on the class and what the teacher asks. For sociology I had to write a 16 page paper for my final. For my education class I had to do a mock trial video for my final. The only optional thing is the draft. For presentations and projects you can email the instructor if you have to film yourself.

@michaelmaignan you can transfer many Sophia credits to UMPI, I believe up to 90 credits. You only need to take 10 classes at UMPI to graduate.
