For many years now I’ve watched and re watched almost every s12 event video posted. I’ve saved and watched while opening at the restaurants I’ve worked at. Headphones, speakers, etc. I still learn with each and every video no matter how many times I’ve watched it. The systems work and even though I’ve never been able to train. I know how to be cognizant of my actions. One day, I pray that I am able to train, and attend an s12 event. Unfortunately with this global pandemic I am not in a position to afford even the lecture prior to training. God bless you all and if the world goes to shit I’m glad you’re all good guys.

Mastering the most intimate practical details is how you save lives, mainly yours and your family's. Prayer is The Ultimate Ego stopper. The last sentence I could speak for myself only, but hopefully many others with Open Minds and Hearts.

Interesting to see only a few students using crossover footwork. Right over left to go left; left over right to go right. Mickey showed how in his example. This is such great information for anyone and especially if you pay close attention to what was being taught. ! Way to go Mickey, Zee, and Paul 👍👍

Daggum, Paul Sharp’s block of instruction on advanced recoil management was the book of revelations 2.0 (it starts at 1:12:34). The way he gets the students participating to activate and feel what is going on is truly masterful. This is going to be one of those resources I review a thousand times and get something new out of each time. Thank you all for posting this as a free resource! 🙏🏻

just as a not and comment to the info at the 35.55 min mark with reference to loosing competency... Just like in Aviation, no matter how many hours that you have accrued and how perficient you may be..."In an Emergency Situation YOU Revert to your lowest level of training" so make your early training count because that is what you will be relying on when the chips are down! Great Advice form my 30K Hour Airline Transport Rated Pilot ';-)

Happy to hear "sight movie". I've always disagreed with teaching only sight picture. You have to track that front sight throughout the cycle. Sight video or sight movie helps to explain that your sight picture for trigger press is the frame in the motion picture when you're back in alignment and press the button. Good stuff mick.

I heard your story about the security guard. Stories like that are what I wish was mentioned to shooters. Active shooting situations can get very complicated especially upon first approach. I watched a boxing event let out and cop happens to be wandering around and civilians tell him there’s shooting going on, he spots and runs up behind a guy who was crouched hiding behind a vehicle, unholstered but pointing south. The cop immediately fires upon him, the guy sees a cop and complies. Apparently there was another shooter who got to walk away unbeknownst and the cop just wasted this guy. A lot of questions remain. I think you’ve got to always be looking towards that threat but also over your shoulders because maybe others think your the “active shooter”, whether it’s a civilian, security, agent, cop. If your not seeing obvious signs of an “active shooter” then you unfortunately might have to give up your element of surprise because if you take advantage, you maybe murdering a hero.
