I'm enjoying your podcasts and Vlogmas!! So happy to have discovered your channel and I love your knitting, weaving, and that you're writing a book! Where do you get the energy from. Full of admiration. Thank you for the lovely truffle recipe I will definitely be making them with a little rum or brandy perhaps. Saffron is super expensive here, so I may omit that. I'm knitting the sleeves to my son's jumper for Xmas which is unspun and British 4 ply held together! it is so light and soft and fluffy! I want one myself. Looking forward to your next Vlogmas :)

What an interesting combo- applesauce, milk and crisp bread- I’ve only had applesauce plain by itself, or maybe with a sprinkle of cinnamon. I can’t think of an English word for the saffron balls- maybe truffles but that’s more specifically chocolate. They seem similar to energy balls or rum balls.

Tips på ett supergott dadelsnacks! Lägg en klick jordnötssmör i dadeln och ringla på mörk choklad. Toppa med havssalt och sedan in i frysen en stund😋

Yummy! We eat a lot of the same things here too :) We call those nutbutter balls in my family. We make them all year long. They are great for after school snack. I definitely grew up eating Wasa bread/crisp and we make them sometimes too. I'm knitting a lightweight sweater for my partner and likely will be for the rest of the month. I don't knit very fast so it just takes as long as it takes. I got inspired to make something so I'm chopping up some prickly pear for aguas. I think I'll make this one creamy with condenced oatmilk.

We have those balls in the US, but there isn't one standard name. They're common in cookbooks for "no bake" cookies and desserts. Some people have family recipes or will recognize them but don't really have a name for them. My ex's family made a version they called "turd balls" because they were gross looking.

Have you looked at Annabel Williams yarns before. I have received her advents the past couple of years and she does natural dyes and it’s a 4 ply exmoor blue face and Zwartbles It looks thicker than a fingering but it could be. I’m not the best at knowing for certain what weight yarn is. I’m a little spoiled by having most marked on the label here in the US. But do love the colors she has, very earthy.

Pausade min teststickning av en oktöja med flerfärgsstickning över hela. Så nu lade jag upp för ett pannband i jättetjockt och gosigt bloggarna. Sitter nu och funderar på hur jag löser en fläta på en dubbelstickning.
