Previously, I was a perfectionist. Events of the past few years have changed me. These days I have a new motto: "Progress over Perfection." Just keep it at, whatever you are doing. Keep moving forward. You don't have to achieve perfection. You will still achieve something! Blessings to all.

@@igorperic5232 Oh yes 😀 If you do make a video one day, I would very much like to see it! By the way, I love looking at scenes of the beautiful Croatian Coastlines! Superb azure and turquoise Adriatic Sea, magic. The gorgeous buildings with terracotta tiles. My husband's family live in Italy. Brother-in-law often made business trips to Bari. Some Croatian photos remind me of Bari. The colour of the Sea also reminds me of the Amalfi Coast. I loved being there 🙂 Cheers Igor!

@@igorperic5232 You're almost opposite Ancona! I nearly mentioned that place. Rick and I were talking about that area. You're more in line with San Marino. You are in a lovely part of the world 😀 I like your Russian name 🙂 Zadar reminds a bit of Bari too. Our Macedonian friends like to holiday in Croatia.

Thank you Nastya. I just want to let you know that I have not finished the previous video and I am really scared to click on this one. I don't want to quit now, but, in my case, I am struggling to remember the nouns and adjectives in nominative, so to see them directly in accusative or other case is beyond me at point.

Don't worry friend. If you can keep your motivation up to have a go, then just simply continue. In a way, at this stage, it doesn't matter if you can remember it all or not. We are only just past Day 100. There are people who have studied for years, but are not fully confident with this language. Does it matter in the end, if you are truly confident to speak in Russian or not? Just think of how much you have already learned! So many new things! Can you easily remember all of those things? It's unlikely. But I would say, this represents the majority of us !!! I decided to do this Course, to improve my ability to read Russian. It has already improved greatly - far more than I would have thought possible in such a short time. I'm not doing the Course with the intention to speak Russian - but who knows? Maybe one day that will happen anyway! I watched a video made by an ex-pat Englishman last night. He has lived in Russia for years. In this video he explained that for the first few years, he barely knew any Russian words at all - but he coped okay. This was in an era without the help of the internet and without smart phone Apps to help him. Even now, Sam does not speak Russian well - but he finally decided to learn more words! Sam doesn't know much Russian grammar, but he interviews Russians for his videos all the time. The Russians kindly don't mind that he does not speak well 🙂 Sam says that if you were to do a Russian Language Course for only one year, you would then KNOW FAR MORE THAN HE DOES LIVING IN RUSSIA FOR YEARS!!!! 😀 So in reality, you are doing just fine at this stage. Be kind to yourself r4e5t3 r4e5t3 ! You don't have to expect wonders of yourself. If you have got this far, it means you have already learned so much. Well done! I will tell you the title of the video and the channel, in case you need to hear Sam's interesting questions and answers about himself and his experiences living in Russia. It might change your mind and make you realise that you are doing okay! "There are Things I haven't Told You - My Life in Russia - Q & A" Y.T. Channel: "Sam's Russian Adventures." The video was posted 2 days ago. Best wishes to you r4e5t3 r4e5t3 from L.R.

@@lilyrose4191 Thank you Lily. I know I won't be able to speak Russian at the end of the year, I just would like to be able to read the language and understand the basics until I will be able to do better. And you are right, I learned a lot in this time, but I have been dedicating to this course about 5 hours per day. Each lesson takes me more or less two hours, to pause, repeat, and take down notes; so if I have to spend three hours on each lessons looking for past information I won't be able to hold on. As I said in my answer to Mick, I understand there are some people with an intermediate or intermediate-advanced level who want to practice what they learned in years, but that leaves beginners out.

@@lilyrose4191 Hey Lily. I have been very diligent with my studies. Since I can type fast, I was typing while Nastya was saying the sentence and then checking it when she had finished writing it on the board. I was surprised at the quick progress I had made in such a short time. I was also pausing and repeating while writing everything. My problem is not the comprehension because I was following everything well. By the way, to be able to make this progress I was getting up at six in the morning to review the previous lessons until 7:30, then off to work and again late in the afternoon following the new lesson. Yesterday I was too frustrated when I had to go through my 150 typed pages of notes for this course to find the word деревня in nominative, and I have the feeling the frustration will grow bigger. In any case, I have learned so much that I am really very thankful to Nastya for her effort and dedication.

All of us learn at a different rhythm. There´s absolutely no obligation to see and let alone learn one video per day. You can see the previous ones again and again until you get them. And have a look at your notes as many times as you need. The important thing is to be constant and not to give up. You certainly have the will to learn Russian, so keep up the good work!
