Day 11 of 31 with Atlanta Drum Academy and snare drum rudiments. Today’s rudiment will be the flam accent so grad your sticks and drum pads and let’s get to drumming .
The flam accent is a very popular rudiment that's used in all types of drumming. Whether it be in marching band, on the drum set, during drum lessons or played in your favorite drum lick, the flam accent is a standard rudiment that every drummer that plans to take drumming serious should know.
It's made up of the flam and triplets put together. There are so many more rudiments that can be played or based around the flam accent.
