I hike regardless of the weather. I am not in control, the universe is, I’m just a speck of dust in this magnificent beautiful world trying to experience as much as I can in my brief but lovely existence… Carpe diem! Standing on a massive mountain with rain and lightening above you really puts yourself in place. It’s very humbling for sure. I am nothing. Mountains persist!

How long is that near-vertical climb on South Kinsman? It looks scary. Is that in your “top 5” most difficult places on the AT? I see videos of Wildcat too. Another vertical climb. You have a great positive attitude. 😊

Thanks! I don’t remember, the whites have a lot of steep ups and downs. I don’t know about too 5 but it’s definitely up there. The Whites are chocked full of those kinda climbs!
