I struggle so bad with this.Daydreaming leaves me feeling emotionally drained and depressed.I can’t even finish school work without my mind slipping.I need to start facing fears because some of the greatest things in life are behind fear.
@richard-chiu4 жыл бұрын
That’s the biggest challenge. Facing our own fears. I found out that one step to take is to forgive myself if i forget and taking a step towards over coming the feats and daydreaming. The worst thing for us to do is to feel bad or guilty. I mean we’re already dealing with so much , right? I really hope you take steps to overcoming the fears. Also, I leave messages and notes on the wall to remind me to do things, immediately. Just so i don’t forget when I’m in the middle of something. Please feel free to message me here. It has been 3 months since I found about this... but the attempts are many... And It's very hard to study because, comparing to exercising or reading, it's in somehow different and harder to focus. And when I don't dream I feel quite empty. It's like fearing the reality. I just don't know what is like living without those characters who are nothing but the perfect side of "me". It's weird. nicole donald excellent First i realized that anything that had to have me in a state of nothingness like mediation, sitting quietly made things worse or didn’t work. Second i started doing research why it’s important to be more physical. Doing physical things like exercise release dopamines in our body that help activate a certain thing on our brains to be present. Third, share in person. Keep communicating verbally. I minimized social media and texting. I found actually talking out loud, speaking with others on the phone or in person, reading a book a book out loud, singing a song as loud as possible, chanting Nam Myoho Renge Kyo our loud, really really helps. Overall, out of all of these try them all and see what works for you. Maybe you can find something that works for you that you can share with others. It’s why i started the 365 day daily vlog on KZbin. To challenge myself to share and talk out loud. But that was one of many things i added to my daily like. Hope this works. 😀❤️

This seems more like a disease...I fear that it would stay with me for the rest of my life... I want to stop at least excessive daydreaming... Please do give some advice or something that could help

First off, you should be proud of your self that you made it six months. That’s a huge achievement. Let’s acknowledge that and really give your self that embracing love you need. Go ahead I’ll wait. 😀 Secondly, falling off is part of the game. It’s shows how far you’ve come. Now that you know you can do it for this long you have the confidence to start back up again. Lastly, be aware of your triggers is one of the most important things you need to know. Awareness is key. How do you become more aware of ourselves? Talk a walk. Connect with nature. Do physical movements like jumping, tai chi, yoga, etc. whatever you like to do. Movement is key.

Can you maladaptive daydreaming but it’s not you in them? Like you pretend to be somebody else either a famous person or character Ect ect.. I don’t think mines on a serious level bc I’ve actually done it all my life even when I was a kid seen as tho I hated been an only child never thought it was a problem untill I found it had a name. I am gonna mention this to my therapist in my session later on.. Every time I do it from now on I’m gonna catch myself in the act and bring myself to the present moment It’s really not hard to stop I think it’s more we don’t want to coz are brains are so used to it People think they’re gonna go crazy or something when they don’t do it. That’s not possible at all btw! This is just a bad habit we picked up on over the years some need to cut down some don’t and some do it once and never ever again either way it’s normal! I hate seeing people call themselves weird for it. You’re really not. Omg same most of the time I’m even scared to daydream about Myself and my life because those wishes are so far away... And I have so much fear about most of the things or they just aren’t realistic compared to how I really am. I daydream about a celebrity that I like... just his life, the people he may date... He things he may do... it’s embarrassing really but I think I’ve kinda used him as a projection of my feelings. I can only be really happy when I hear from him so I can daydream more... Its just really unhealthy and he’s like a non social type of celebrity too without social media... Maybe I saw a bit of myself in him too... But it’s so hard to stop. It’s ruining my life... Taking up all my time... Killing my focus, creativity... Sometimes it leaves me so depressed and numb. I don’t know how to move on from this... Probably have to learn to get over my fears and just do more with life... Meet more people. But people are so disappointing and I don’t even like most of them.

ALL YOU HAVE TO LEARN IS TO SAY NO TO MALADAPTIVE DAYDREAMING. YOU CANT STOP IT JUST DO IT FOR LIKE JUST AN HOUR AND SAY NO AFTER THIS HOUR GOES

Can u help me: so I watch Netflix and most of the time I make up characters to a show f.e like stranger things or money heist idek and I tried to stop acting them out but it’s just more fun so I didn’t stop. And sometimes I imagine being friends with a celeb like it legit feels real but I don’t do it for hours just these little moments that just make me happy but is it a demonic thing?

@@rue.eudoxie i do relate to that. I had to really tell myself who i am. I’d log down what my name is. Who my family and friends are. The things i like. The things i don’t like. Everything i could do to remind myself who i am. The stronger the foundation you can create for your own identity the better. Also, surround yourself with people who are strong and positive And that will keep you accountable for things. It’s important to communicate and create or join a community that understands what you’re going through. Hope that helps. Please ask anything. I’ll do my best to help.
