Lord, You are food for our journey. Nourish, strengthen and encourage us to press forward when we feel like our best days are behind us, our biggest victories are won or even when victories seem too far off. You are never done with us. You are always working. Help us to turn down the noise in our lives so we can hear your still, quiet voice. May we always listen and obey in accordance with your will. There is victory always when we are walking with you. Thank you for your blessing. 🙏🏻

June 18, 2023 Round Two Please pray for Souls in Purgatory. Go ahead, just take about 30 seconds to help save a soul that maybe is your family member or friend! Go forth and help save! Here is the prayer: (According to tradition, St. Gertrude the Great was told by Our Lord that each time she piously recited the following prayer, it would release 1,000 souls (or a vast number) from their suffering in purgatory.) The Prayer of St. Gertrude Eternal Father, I offer Thee the Most Precious Blood of Thy Divine Son, Jesus, in union with the masses said throughout the world today, for all the holy souls in purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the universal church, those in my own home and within my family. Amen. God would reply to St. Gertrude that He would use whatever was offered to Him for the faithful departed, according to His inclination to show pardon & mercy.

Father Mike thank you for providing these readings I have found reading/ listening to the Bible stories is like explaining an adult/ complicated question to a child who is not mature enough just yet to understand the answer. You give the story/ explanation to the child who in return obsorbs what his brain allows and the goes on with life. The next time the child asks the question or just simply hears the story/explanation they are a little more mature and able to absorb more and with deeper meaning. Eventually the story/ explanation is heard and fully comprehended. In my own similar situation I had left the church but God had not left me. I had heard the story of the prodigal son at least 50 times in my life. It was not till the last time I fully comprehended it’s meaning and my connection. In that I was the prodigal son and had lived that life. Once I made the connection I begged the Father for forgiveness and asked that I may return home. He welcomed me with open arms led me to my church and found my home again and was introduced to the love of my life of 7 years now. God bless you Father and all your listeners.

It is interesting than God provided for Elijah with the raven bringing food and the widow, as he was walking in faith, but in his lowest moment and depression the angel of the Lord gave him food ( I believe it's accepted that the angel is a pre incarnate manifestation of Christ) The wind earthquake and fire, it specifically states here that God was not in them, and it was followed by a 'still small voice' this I have heard is the ministry of grace. God would rather the fire of judgement falls on the sacrifice than on the people. Threats of judgement and fear, does not win hearts, people need to be drawn by the love God has for his children. ❤❤❤

Lord Jesus, I humbly pray for myself, Father Mike, & all the people participating in the Bible-in-Year podcast. May your word take deep root in our hearts & transform our ways of thinking, deciding, and acting. May your grace open our ears to hear & understand God's voice in the Scriptures that we may revere & treasure both the Old & the New Testaments which God has prepared for all who desire to enter his kingdom. Send us your Holy Spirit to give us the Spirit of Knowledge, that we may know God and know ourselves. Give us the grace to approach the Word of God with meekness & humility, & with an eagerness to do everything God desires. Help us to be diligent students & faithful disciples of your Word. May our hearts never grow dull & may our ears never tire of listening to your voice. Amen.

Also pray for baptisms as well for adults and babies this was another thing that was denied and the church should stand against this because some of those babies may be only had one chance to be baptized or adults only had one chance to be baptized .For our church to be strong there are some that did exactly this and fought for the rights of their parishioners we need to pray for the popes bishops and priests

I do not think I am up to the big fights that are necessary in these drastic times. After my biggest battles I did not think there is no more. I thought Thank you God for getting me through this and please keep me safe from this danger. I guess I might be a coward.

18:50 Father in heaven, we give you thanks and we give you praise for this opportunity to, just enter intro the history of the Kings. The history of the Chronicles. The history of the family of Jesus. The history of the people that you’ve chosen, with their flaws and their faults, with their disasters and with their victories. And because we know that you are the God of our flaws and the God of our faults, you’re the God of our disasters, and you are the God of our victories. And so we give you hearts to this day and every day, please receive them. Please receive our lives, our victories, and our defeats, our flaws and everything we are, in Jesus’ name. Amen. †
