💥2100💥 A monumentous milestone, Mojo! 20 miles over redundant rocks and roots with a ton of food! You're tough as nails young lady. Breathtaking trail footage today. I hope you get a solid night of restorative sleep tonight. 🌲🏕🌲

It has to be hard at this point... you've come such a long way and you're tired, but it's almost over and you're a little sad. I am so impressed with how you've persevered - you are a strong person and you can be so proud. Wishing you beauty and fulfillment in these last days of the AT. 🙂

"A little bit of a hard day', she says! Twenty miles climbing over roots & rocks is no joke. I'm mirroring your emotions, Molly. I'm experiencing some of the same emotions, concern for the toll this takes on you & wanting a break for you, but also sad that you'll b e done in a matter of days. This has been such an education for me, & enjoyment at seeing so much more of the Trail than I ever saw. I'm so proud of you all, this odyssey of yours is really, really hard! Rest well.

Congratulations on 2100 miles! However, I do have to say that your 1000-mile dance was better than Bevo's. 2100 mile dance, haha! I'm so impressed with your prowess. Twenty miles in Maine is quite the accomplishment! I hope you are able to get some decent rest.

I am nearly certain you summitted Katahadin on 9/11. I saw a photo of some folks in your "bubble" - Birdy summitted that day (9/11). Congrats on an excellent hike and an even better VLOG! I have appreciated your dedication to your viewers from the very beginning. Thank you for taking me along on the journey.

20 miles over that terrain is amazing! No wonder you are tired! Even the fastest hikers can only do 13-15 miles on those first few days on the hundred mile wilderness. It gets alit easier the last couple of days! Mighty fine hiking young lady!

I’m not crying! Your summary at the end was so touching. My mama heart was holding her breath when you made that steep descent. That was a hard day, 20 and the ascent and descent with heavy pack. Where was everyone else when you were descending?! I was so afraid for you! Mighty fine hiking, your videos make me feel like I’m doing it…and so glad I’m not! Soon you’ll see mama K in the distance! So glad you got to meet Mosey. Since she has flipped and going SOBO, I get to see you do Maine in the opposite direction.

Heard you exclaim ouch that hurt a few times this day, seems not too bad booboos. Happy that big bridges were all above water level. I’m very tall so all the steep descents were terrifying for me to watch. My knees no longer bend so scooching down the rocks can’t happen, need for me to back down facing the rock, got nice views today, but terrain looked very tough, not surprised you’re tired. Happy trails even with wet toes, You’re doing great.

Wow! That looked like a tough 20 miles in the 100-mile wilderness. Congrats on reaching 2100 miles -- you're down to double digits in miles left to go. Great MoJo Vision sequences today -- I could almost feel your pain and exertion struggling through those steep up-and-down climbs over boulders and roots. At around 10:00, that Appalachian Trail sign amid a pile of rocks on what appeared to be a cliff was quite the shot. And despite all that, your pace was an impressive 2.22 mph with almost 5000 feet of elevation gain! Looking forward to a bittersweet ending . . .

Apparently this is the airplane crash story: 100-Mile Wilderness, ME: In this remote section of the trail, hikers can encounter the wreckage of a small plane that crashed in the 1970s. A father and son were onboard and miraculously survived, camping out overnight before receiving help the next day. The trail has been rerouted to pass directly by this crash site.

If my map-following skills are correct, I think you guys stopped at or near the Carl A Newhall Lean-to around mile marker 2094 on the AT. 78 mi to go to the Mt. K terminus point! What an intense day this was. First, 20 miles!! And then, the terrain was (IMO) scary with all those boulders. I can tell how tired you feel at this point; I was feeling exhausted for you. I read the average time to complete this 100 mi wilderness segment is 7 to 10 days, and you guys were planning to do it in 4 days -- superfast! As always, thank you for sharing your journey!

any idea how the hikers post video everyday ? where do they charge the equipments ? how do they even find teh time to edit and post video ? are they staying in a hostel every night ? or they sending the footage to someon so they can edit and post ? am confused.. thanks for reading my comment.

Could you talk about the white trail markers. Who put them there, how far apart are they spaced and are they more useful when theirs snow?
@crimson255434 ай бұрын
The trail markers on trees and sometimes rocks are called "blazes." They are painted by volunteer groups who maintain the AT. Each color of blaze represents something specific: white, blue, yellow are most commonly seen. Do a google search on "AT blaze colors" and you'll learn all about them.

It's kind of ironic that after over 2100 miles of hiking and all the roots and rocks the only time I've seen you fall was on that boardwalk. Glad you were OK. I really didn't realize there are points on the trail where you have to do some rock climbing. BTW, I was looking back at the first video, and I saw you weighing your pack at the visitor center. It was 30.5 pounds. Do you have any guess how much it was at the end?
