Day 179: I am grateful for the courage I have
Welcome to another episode of Dear God, with Gratitude.
𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐄𝐱𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐢𝐬𝐞: 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐖𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫
Take off your shoes and step onto the warm sand. Spend 5 minutes standing or walking barefoot, feeling the grains under your feet. Notice the texture, the warmth from the sun, and how it moulds to your weight. Engage all your senses-hear the soft sound of your steps, breathe in the salty air, and observe the vastness of the sky and shoreline. Reflect on any emotions or thoughts that arise, letting the sand connect you to the earth.
Afterward, move to the water's edge. Spend another 5 minutes allowing the cool waves to wash over your feet. Notice the contrast between the solid ground and the shifting water. Feel the gentle push and pull of the ocean, the coolness of the water on your skin, and the fresh scent of the sea. Listen to the rhythmic sound of the waves. Let this moment ground you further, washing away stress and tension.
As you complete this exercise, reflect on how the sensations of the sand and water connect with your inner world. What emotions surface? What thoughts linger? Let the experience help you reconnect with the present moment.
