Thankfully I don’t have hypo anxiety. I have had a few doozies with hypo unawareness, though, in the past

I can agree with all the tips you mentioned. Anxiety can have different levels. Like I'm going to drive, going into a meeting or assembly, yardwork, etc. so I always check my glucose and "fuel up" if necessary. It is one thing that low glucose is a problem for yourself but when it can seriously affect others, when driving for instance, one needs to be proactive. CGM's are a big help as you stated. If one can only rely on finger sticks, bite the bullet and test. My father-in-law was diagnosed T2 in his later years. The doctor failed him in telling him he only had to test once a day which was in the morning before breakfast. He'd call his daughter, who was a nurse, and say he wasn't feeling right or funny. "Did you check your blood?" Answer was always "I did it this morning and it was fine and the doctor said I only needed to test it once a day." Extremely bad advice from the doctor. I use to have low's at night averaging twice a week. Before CGM it was a dicey situation a number of times. With CGM the alarms would wake me or my wife and the low glucose was easy to deal with. Two years ago I got a tSlim Tandem pump with Control IQ connected to my Dexcom. I have not had one low glucose alarm in two years at night. Considered it a major game changer. I'm fortunate I have the means to have the technology. Wish it could be available for all.

I have always been a little anxious about them. Which has led to me being too high at work a lot. I'm a busy preschool teacher, so insulin on board and being active is a bad combo! Since starting my Omnipod 5 two weeks ago, it's been amazing! My Diabetes educator adjusted rates saying my previous pump settings were too high. I have not had a low since starting the Omnipod 5 :)

I am so scared about going low in my sleep and never waking up again. I do have a cgm, but i’m scared it won’t read correctly or error out and not catch a low and i’ll die in my sleep. It’s terrifying 😢

I hate it !!! My 13 year old son keeps going low during his sleep. I have to woken him up most of the nights which i hated to do that to him, ( I want him to have full sleep) to bring his sugar up! It all started when we switched to pump. Constantly changing his bolus and basal with no luck yet!!! I have not slept for months either. Nice video!
