Congratulations on finishing your Angel. I did not finish mine. It is way to much stitching for me in one day. I will try to keep up with you but I do not think I will be able to. Your stitching inspires me. Your Christmas calendar is starting off so lovely. The angel is adorable. I love the Bright Skye fabric. Looked around til I found it but shipping is too far out of range for me, I'm in the US, especially at this time of year. Maybe in 2025. Look forward to seeing you tomorrow.

If I were to add stitching around the wings, I would probably use a thing a single strand of a gold. Because they’re angel wings. Yes they are difficult to see but I knew right away. They were there.

Great effort for day 1. I have already stitched the numbers so only 595 stitches for me in the angel but I had to finish it this morning 🤷‍♀️

The angel is adorable but I think the wings definitely need a little backstitching. They may look different in person but on the camera they really don’t show up. Tiny Modernist is coming out with more and more things I would like to stitch. Onward to Day 3.

I'm not sure if you ever got your issue with white stitches not showing in pattern keeper but since this pattern does not have black i changed my thread color in the symbol key from white to dmc 310... you can also use any other dmc color not used in place of white for any of your patterns.

Thanks! That is a brilliant idea! I have mine now set to bright orange but I might change it to black because you're right it's not there. And I wouldn't get it mixed up searching for orange in my threads. Happy Stitching :)

I had a day with quite a lot of stitching and ended up with 522 stitches. I bow my hat for your over 800 stitches today! And I love your dyed fabric. I need to finally be brave enough to try dyeing as well. Which technique are you using to dye your fabric? 😊

Thanks so much! I began with tea/coffee dying and roasting following the Stitching Housewives tutorials. Then I tried rit dye. That was following the directions on the bottle and I've had mixed results. Dying is lots of fun but very messy and takes up quite a bit of room, hot water and salt :p I would love to get back to it. Maybe in January I'll have time to do a batch. Happy Stitching :)

Looks good. If you back stitch the wings would you use white? Or another color? I am working on her now.

I was thinking maybe a blue to backstitch. I think the dark brown would be too harsh and the white would be hard to see. Another commentator suggested gold which could be nice. I'm going to leave mine till later in the calendar to decide. Then I can see which colours are dominant and judge what would look good. Happy Stitching :)

I think you do need to back stitch your wings on your angel. Other than that it looks beautiful. I absolutely love the caddy your husband made. It is beautiful . Happy stitching

Thanks so much! Sorry no Kangaroos. Some Wallabies live in the bush opposite and they visit across the road but we're actually on top of a slope that's too steep for them to come up. Hope you're having a great day too and happy stitching :)
