All the beaches along Brevard County have been replenished with offshore sand (and, I believe, trucked-in sand) a few times over the past 20 years, most recently w/i the past 3 or 4 years. There were some complaints that some of the new sand was not natural to the area.

Another good installment of the Florida tour. I like the Satellite Beach sand better than Melbourne. I like the white beach better. Bermuda has the pink sand beach, I collect sand from the places we visit. It is interesting to see the differences. So I appreciate the info you are giving. I prefer the clearer water. After experiencing the Caribbean waters and now South Florida water, I prefer the clear water. I never knew Florida had the same good clear stuff like the Caribbean until visited Florida. Good to know Cocoa Beach is dog friendly. That is part of the charm of getting away from the hustle and bustle places. You get the quiet and peacefulness. You can slow down and plug into the nature. Even bring along your best friend. Looking to the next video of the tour. Thanks

@@MichaelBordenaro The weather classification does change around Melbourne. This area has the best waves in Florida for surfing and one of the lowest hurricane rates of about 10%. You can also grow more northern plants such as azaleas for the spring which have a distinct pink color. Also, the sweet gum tree’s leaves change colors in the fall. I think you can still buy sea grape jelly and wine in Schnebly’s winery in Homestead Southern Miami-Dade County. Well, I have news for you now. Regarding the free parking situation in Satellite Beach, it no longer exists as of this year! This is in the city limits of Satellite Beach though. The ones there now are being enforced by immobilization of your vehicle if you do not pay to park there. They have kiosks there for you to enter your license plate number of your vehicle and then pay with either credit or debit card or other methods of payment. If you don't, you'll come back and find your car booted on your tires. And from what I understand, it costs like $70 or $80 to get it removed. I have friends that live there, and they gave me the heads-up about it. I go there every summer at least once in June going into July. For the longest time, it was free beach parking there. But it's not being enforced in the city of Indian Harbor Beach or at the beaches across the street from Patrick Space Force Base in Satellite Beach. Across from the base is their property so the city of Satellite Beach will not dare to try and enforce that there! So, you can go to the beaches both across the street from the base or in Indian Harbor Beach and you can still enjoy the free beach parking. So sad about Satellite Beach though! I never thought that would happen there!

I might drive back down to some of the Keys too while I’m there. I’ve already been to all the Keys. I actually went parasailing and snorkeling for the first time in Key West. I go to Virginia for the weekend. I’m going to visit the famous Walton show house in the mountains. If I stay up here for a while longer, I’ll have a 10 year vested pension in the can for later use when I fully retire. Important to get. I might move to VA, TX, CA, FL or HI after that time. I’m not sure yet. I have lots of traveling to do within the next two years then I intend to move to some other state and work in another pension while I keep building my wealth in the meantime. Also, just a note...You mentioned natural sand barriers....Those aren't natural. Unfortunately, it's from repeated dredging the ocean floor to re-build the shoreline. It's been going on for years. You're actually in Central East coast, not northern Florida....of course north of Miami for you :) The water though is much nicer in southern Florida. Beach itself, and surrounding park, dunes and vegetation looked real nice - but the water is not that brilliant tropical blue/ turquoise like the A1A coast in So Florida (Palm Beach down). A smaller town can be delightful, as long as you have access to a bigger place for airport, culture and more dining options. The Space Coast is the part of Florida I am least familiar with (at l east, waterfront-wise). I have driven through a couple times, but never stayed. I do prefer beaches WITHOUT high rises, or at least, not an abundance of them. I always wanted to go to Cocoa Beach to watch a rocket launch (or maybe meet an astronaut!), but the only ones I have seen were from the Gulf coast, so not the same. Cocoa Beach appeared to be a bit more tacky to me, but I am sure I am a certified beach/coast snob - having seen the entirety of both the Pacific & Atlantic Coast. Coming from Ohio or Illjnois or Iowa, every beach is fabulous! Bot once you have lived in LA, La Jolla, Santa Barbara, spent time in Maine, the gorgeous Oregon Coast (especially love Cannon Beach), the Outer Banks of NC, the Lowcountry of SC/GA, and all the beautiful beaches in FL, I am a tough sell on some of these places. However, I cannot pass judgment on a place I briefly saw on your video. Being away from crowds has its advantages! Thanks for sharing! Maybe, on my next trip to the Palm Beaches, I will explore a little further north, as well as finally getting south to Key West, which I have never seen, other than in videos.

Yes I think this beach is probably great for surfers but its not that clear blue south florida beach type. But I still liked it. I also liked it here better than Cocoa beach as it did feel more tacky as you described. Satellite beach just seemed like an overall good place to live. You're not missing anything with the beaches in Key west, I don't care for them. Water is super shallow and the sea floor is very rough with lots of rocks and shells, coral etc. Not that pleasant.

@@MichaelBordenaro Plus, I think I might tire of the weirdness parade and such a small area, so everyone would be on top of you. I just never wanted to make the 3-hour drive across the causeway. Maybe I would take advantage of the short hop by plane one day.

Oh it’s tacky at Cocoa Beach area but in a fun and not really offensive way. There’s a statue of a surfer on A1A nearby and you can take tours on Kennedy Space Center although it’s expensive

@@MichaelBordenaro Cocoa Beach is for the tourists from Orlando who day trip to the beach so they go overboard with the tacky for them and the water is not like Miami but there’s not many high rises that block the sun at 4 pm and if Florida didn’t at least have a couple places with waves for surfing I wouldn’t have bothered moving here. When I was there before in winter of 2014 the military sent me there. I did get free tickets to many of the Orlando amusement parks

Michael, how much of what you see with the non-crowded beaches has to do w/Covid? STAY SAFE.

In an area like this it seems to be normal for it to be not that crowded. Nothing to do with covid as you'll see in my upcoming videos, other areas I visited were much more crowded than here.

I know it's only been 4/5 months... but will you and your wife be going back up the coastline again soon? I know you mentioned in a few comments about returning and giving some places more in-depth reviews. Take us along!

Probably not as we are coming off a 2.5 month road trip across the USA pretty soon and then my wifes busy season will start again with her work, so if we do anything like this again, probably won't be until next year sometime

Nice small town tour. I would think you would like the wind or at least a breeze at the beach. That's a plus for cutting the hot humid suppressing stagnant air during the summer.

What's up Michael crazy question here , what you think is going to happen to home owners equity on their property's with this great reset 2030 ??? Are houses will be confiscated from owners like their saying and everything will be rented , I'm pretty sure you Heard of this from DAVOS , let me know your opinion , should home owners sell down the line or??? This is some serious stuff , no conspiracy theories on this , thanks , always great videos

I personally do not worry about this because a home is real value comes from two things. One is having a secure place to live every day and not needing to move unless you want to. Two it can be used as an asset to rent to someone else and provide cash flow. As long as those two things remain true I will not be worrying about any type of reset
