Good morning. Don't forget that when planting wheat that you need to do a rotation. You can't plant in the same area. Love what you are planting and how you are putting in all those walk ways that lead to sitting areas and hidden gardens. Your farm land is fulling up memories of living on my farm growing up. Enjoy the rest of your day.

Hi Laura, the path leading to your pond is nice. I like the flagstone paths you've made. I guess I am a worry wart but, are the pavers that cover over the edge of the pond safe to sit on? It looks to me that if someone sits on the edge and dangles feet over that the pavers might flip into the water. Therefore, the person sitting would be pushed into the water and probably hurt from behind by the heavy paver. Would it be better if they were all cemented together?

Love following you around as you complete a menagerie of tasks! You say you did not prune the tomatoes, you just let them grow, hands off. So does that mean you didn’t remove suckers? My tomato production this year was pitiful and I had 6 plants! The raccoons found a way into my growing tent, and the few they didn’t eat I managed to get sandwiches out of, but certainly not enough for canning! However I’m saving that recipe for the marinara sauce for next year! I’ll grow them the Laura way, with high hopes of a fantastic yield! ❤

Loved this video, just walking through the day with you, even just driving past the West Garden. So very very special. Your hard work inspires me, Laura, to tackle my own house and yard projects. I'm 74, and my husband and I are living in and renovating a 1950's house, doing all the work ourselves little bit by little bit, loving and respecting the old features, but updating and beautifying where needed. We want our home to be a bright spot in our neighborhood and for our children and grandchildren- a haven, a place to come to for refreshment and comfort. Thanks, Laura and Aaron, for the inspiration!! You are a bright spot in a dark world.

You may have already thought of this, but when you're planting big long rows in the new property next year you might consider putting the longest lasting plants at the start of the rows so that you can just gradually shut the water off in the last sections without having to do as much snipping and reworking of tubes and whatnot. Just a thought! Love your vids!!
@missbiggs9437

We’re on the same page - I was thinking the same thing; it would make it easier harvesting from the farthest end and working backwards, shutting off waterlines that are no longer needed. 👍😅

@@missbiggs9437 For sure. And Laura is a planner, she would totally be organized enough to pull it off. Probably just didn't think about it with it being the first year using the new property for crops like this. Not sure they were planning on it when they were putting the 2023 garden plan together, the planting might've just kinda happened spontaneously. :)

Hardscape looks amazing!!! I tried celebrity tomato for the first time this yr and love them. Tiger sumac is probably the worst thing I have ever planted. Supposedly doesn’t spread as much but it does. Only planted one, had it for about 3yrs and got tired of pulling runners and removed it. I’m still finding them everywhere.

Exactly, I agree and totally relate to what you’ve said. I put one in a couple seasons ago but very quickly grew frustrated and disillusioned because of how fast it was spreading throughout the garden; I dug it out earlier this year, a friend took it … I’m pretty sure they’re soon going to be hating me 😂😂 … and I’m still digging out runners! 😅

wow... just wow.. the harvest, the weed mowing, the planting, the stone laying, the food you're preparing.. this video had it all and it looks and sounds wonderful!! such a good day... once the pathways are done, please show the before of this space and the now... because it is dramatically different!! i'm having a hard time remembering what it look like before, lol... the forethought and amount that gets accomplished just amazes me... and it's so fun to watch!!! 🥰❤thanks for the video!! 🥰❤

Laura, with all of the different things you've accomplished today you sure needed Benjamin to record all of your "checks" as you moved down your list. He is just the smartest and sweetest boy.

Oooh can’t wait to see the stones after they’re sprayed off. I’m a little jealous of all the onions haha!!

I always appreciate watching Laura configure the drip irrigation in the garden. This is my first year using it and let me tell you, I can't believe how I ever got by without it. Game Changer for sure! We grow celebrity tomatoes every year. Always had good luck with them. It was a good year for the onions too.

That little Blue Spruce looks absolutely perfect where you planted it. It’s added the right color element to the plants. ❤️ Love how the pond pathway is progressing. Gorgeous!

Looking at the pond garden just now, it seems to be screaming for little clusters of various spring bulbs. Hyacinth, muscari, daffs... just randomly placed to make this a spring wonderland! Looking so beautiful out there. 😍
