After your stop at Lake Vyrnwy if you had carried straight on instead of turning back over the dam, there's a lovely little ride around the water to a left turn at the tip of the lake at Rhywargor which takes you on a fantastic little road dropping you back into Bala, a real hidden gem of a road... Love the Code Brown terminology, a tour isn't a tour without at least one of those in it!

Great stuff! You rode quite a few of the same roads as I did on my mid-Wales jaunt last week. The A483 between Crossgates and Newtown is sublime... I've ridden it a few times now and it never gets boring. The A4391 between Llyn Celyn and Festiniog is also superb. I only "discovered" it last week! Looking forward to the next installment 👍😊

I've riden Bala region and the A483 (Newton to Crossgates) was my fav. I was on a Honda CB750k back then - would love to try that road with dynamic ESA! Thanks for the tour.

Excellent vlogs Paul. Good to see you both fit and well. I particularly liked this second one, as it's my old stomping ground and I don't get to North Wales much these days. I was supposed to be out in mid Wales with PEMC Northern Contingent last Wednesday, but couldn't make it on the day. Watched both vlogs while waiting for new tyres to be fitted, laughed out loud at the code brown moment. Your pronunciation is still way better than my Scouse variation of Welsh...

You should of ridden all the way to the top end of Vyrnwy turn right, you've missed a belting road there! Checkout my Bala to Vyrnwy ride you'll see, otherwise great thanks for sharing

I was watching a recently released Top Gear video last night and noticed that it was filmed on many of roads featured in my vid...search 'Singer’s DLS Project: the best Porsche 911? £2mil, 9,300rpm resto-mod'...I now have camera envy, plus jealous that they seemed to have a 'closed road' available to them!

Hi Paul, enjoyed the Top Gear vid and yours too! If only I had £2 million to spend on a car! If you are interested in this sort of filming, a channel called AA VISION has a short film about how they made the Enginehawk advert. It’s called : Riding the Brecon Beacons promo Behind the scenes Enginehawk-Ruroc. The road is awesome to ride and often deserted! 😎

@Yarro Moto The EVO triangle is also in that area. B4501 from Cerrigydrudion, past Llyn Brenig, to T-junction with A543. Turn left on A453 down to Pentrefoelas and back along A5 to your start point. Best done mid week, though, as often a police presence at weekends!

When you ride a big comfy powerful bike with satnav you're losing the elemental feel you got when you rode your very first Superdream or whatever was the starter bike back in your yoof. That's why I rode GPZs and Fazers for years now I actually have more fun on my MZ 250. Nor knocking you, just saying. Thanks for the vid and glad to see the weather was kind for you! Oh and BTW 'f" us always a soft v sound in Welsh. Double "ff" is a hard F sound.

Hi Tom, I appreciate your comments about '70/80's bikes, I just don't agree...I'd rather have modern ergonomics, modern brakes, modern suspension, modern tyres and reliable engines for touring in the UK & Europe. There's a place for older bikes, if you can afford a 2nd one. You have some amazing roads in Wales, when the weather is in your favour. Thanks for trying to help me with my pronunciation but languages are not my strong point Tom...as you can tell! Stay safe. Paul.

@@YarroMoto there's also the factor that I'm already based in Wales so from my house (Caerphilly) to Machynlleth and back is a nice doable day out on a 250.

@@tombartram6842 You lucky man, we don't have roads like that in Bucks. Some of the mountain roads reminded me of the Picos...nice!
