Day 2! Spring 2024 Vegas Vlog | Major Win at Cosmopolitan | Slot Play at Aria | Dinner at Scarpetta

The second day started way too early after a successful first night of gambling at the Cosmo! Ms. Ellabellita headed off for an 8:30 a.m. appointment at Drybar (and that blowout lasted for the rest of the trip!). Then it was more gambling at the Cosmo, with a surprising quick Major win on a slot we'd never played before. Later, we headed over to Aria for largely unsuccessful (but fun!) slot play. We spent a good deal of time playing video poker at the Gem Bar at Aria and having great dirty vodka martinis and conversations with the bartender, whose name we unfortunately forgot, but that was a good time. He gave us a tip that Frenchy would be working the next day, so we made a plan to come back for his famous pistachio martinis, which apparently no one else will make!
Finally, it was back to the Cosmo for a truly delicious early dinner at Scarpetta, an Italian restaurant we’d never been to before. We didn’t know they had gorgeous views of the Bellagio Fountains from there, so it was a pleasant surprise to be seated right by the window for that lovely view. We enjoyed excellent service and exceptional food, and we’d certainly recommend Scarpetta and look forward to returning in the future.
The evening ended quite early for us when we realized that while we had a great time gambling that day, we’d both lost a lot more than we wanted to by just the second day! Luckily the Terrace Studio Fountain View room at The Cosmopolitan is a lovely place to relax and unwind.

Good afternoon Ellabelitta😎what a beautiful view of what Vegas has become, it sure isn’t my late in-laws Vegas anymore😢and staying out late is the norm until you get older like us. Driving 55 in the fast lane and eating the early bird special at 4:00 and in bed at 8:00 pm and don’t forget yelling at the neighborhood kids to get off my lawn🤣🤣🤣we just got home from Barona and just getting away for 3 days is so relaxing. Good afternoon, John! So glad you got to enjoy some time away at Barona! I wish I could go to sleep at 8 p.m. sometimes! We turn into to different and wildly irresponsible people when we go to Vegas 🤣 The amount of drinking and gambling we do is really insane, and we just hope it all works out in the end. It really is a gorgeous place and we love it. I will say that during this trip Mr. E finally realized why I always want to plan out some non-gambling activities ahead of time! Balance is key.

Thank you so much for watching! Yes, later in the trip I had a 9:00 a.m. spa trip planned and I was kicking myself! It’s a nice idea in theory so you can get the day started, and at least at Drybar and the spa you can just relax with your eyes closed 😅 Scarpetta was really fantastic and we highly recommend it! 8:30 am appointment after being up until 4:30?! We had trouble making a noon brunch reservation on a recent trip. 😃 Dinner at Scarpetta looked amazing. We will definitely add that to our list of restaurants to try. What a fun day!

Thanks so much for watching! I always have the best intentions when booking early salon and spa treatments in Vegas, but I don't know why I still do it when we are almost always out so late. Luckily we are not prone to hangovers so that's a huge plus! Scarpetta flies under the radar but it shouldn't. Everything was absolutely delicious, the service was excellent, and the views of the fountains were a lovely surprise!

You know, the Cosmo connects to the bellagio and the vadara thru the inside now, so you don't have to go outside

Yes, we have walked this corridor many times and are aware it connects the Cosmo to the Vdara now. While you can walk from Cosmo to Bellagio and be completely inside, there is no way to go from Vdara to Aria without stepping outside for a short walk.
