Lord Jesus, I humbly pray for myself, Father Mike, & all the people participating in the Bible-in-Year podcast. I do not know all their needs, but you do, Lord. I offer them to you with confidence that you hear our prayers. May your word take deep root in our hearts & transform our ways of thinking, discerning, and acting. May your grace open our ears to hear & understand and revere & treasure both the Old & the New Testaments which God has prepared for all who desire to enter his kingdom. Please send us your Holy Spirit to give us the Spirit of Knowledge, that we may know God and know ourselves. Give us the grace to approach the Word of God with meekness & humility, & with an eagerness to do everything God desires. Please give me the grace to set aside my intellect and my know-it-all attitude and let your Word speak to my heart and my soul. Help us to be diligent students & faithful disciples of your Word. May our hearts never grow dull & may our ears never tire of listening to your voice. Thank you and praise you for the gift of perseverance and for nourishing us with your word! Amen.

Thank you Fr Mike for having explained the meaning behind the wooden yoke and the iron yoke Jeremiah 28. Now I understand that the wooden yoke represents the mercy of God- his commandments, the trials that come our ways are meant to lead us back to Him. If we don't accept and submit to it, then we will inevitably faces the iron yoke, which is God's judgement. Thank once again and God bless

You know what jumped out at me today was God hears that very first prayer, even if we think it is not being answered, he hears. Sometimes I pray 'God give me this mountain' like Caleb did, and some of my prayers are indeed like mountains ! I wait and continue to pray knowing that my prayers are collected in golden bowls and presented to God as a sweet smelling incense.

@@williambarrett7818 Thank you! My area of FL suffered little damage, but other areas of FL, NC, & TN are devastated. No government assistance has been sent or is on the way for the many people trapped in flooded vehicles & homes or to remove the dead bodies floating in the water. Private institutions like Franklin Graham, Glen Beck, and actually some of the helicopters & National Guard from FL are assisting. My heart and prayers go out to them and I am asking everyone to pray for them. 😥🙏🙏🙏

Jeremiah 11:29 is so special and near to my heart. When I gave up my job to care for our two very broken due to accidents mothers and in that loss of income lost our home we were buying for 23 years! I asked God for a word. This is where he lead me. Of my gosh my friends were more concerned than we were because we didn’t have a plan. Well let me tell you. I sued on behalf of my mother and was able to buy a home twice the size and only 6 years old. Our home was over 50 years old. We owned it outright! I had to move a thousand miles away. But God wasn’t done. My van became I drive able and was our only vehicle. My work comp case came through. We bought one only a year old outright as well. There’s so much more I can say but God wasn’t done. We got to move back closer 60 miles away and bought a brand new house the size of the previous two put together. We can not out give God!

My takeaway today is the angel that was delayed by the Prince of Persia and Michael intervened, just yesterday I was watching an account from a girl who got caught up in New Age thinking and witchcraft, she was abused as a child, and abused in relationships, and so far into bad stuff The Masons etc, but God rescued her. I don't think any of us know just how much of a spiritual battle wages out there, and perhaps how many angels are working on our behalf. I was just struck by that line, that even angels can run into trouble, never given that a thought before.
