Our youngest two adult children won't speak to us or allow us to see our grandchildren, we are heartbroken. We don't preach to them, we just know we raised them with love and truth and now they totally reject us. Please pray for us, we've lost joy. And hope and trust. October 3, 2023 Round Two Please pray with me. According to tradition, St. Gertrude the Great was told by Our Lord that each time she piously recited the following prayer, it would release 1,000 souls (or a vast number) from their suffering in purgatory: Eternal Father, I offer You the most precious blood of thy Divine Son, Jesus, in union with the Masses said throughout the world today, for all the Holy Souls in Purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the universal Church, for those in my own home, and in my family. Amen. In her account of another vision, St. Faustina describes Purgatory as a "great crowd of suffering souls" undergoing purification. Further, she says that the souls are "praying fervently, but to no avail, for themselves; only we can come to their aid" (Diary, 20)

Dear Mike, thanks for your nice presentation. Can you explain why Esther, in chapter 4, was justifiably hesitant to take Mordecai's second message (about Haman vs. the Jews) to Ahasuerus, but did not hesitate at all in chapter 2, regarding taking Mordecai's first message (about Bigthan and Teresh) to Ahasuerus? Since the laws of Persia were not easily changed (8:8), it would seem that either of these interruptions to Ahasuerus' schedule could have resulted in her being executed. (I think I can explain this, but I'd like to know your thoughts.)

Dear Father, I have been journeying with you for a long time, and am grateful to The Lord for His having shown His Word to me through you. Though I worry that the 'judeo-christian' term you use may be a little bit loaded with misleading politics that put Catholics against our equally mislead Abrahamic Jewish and Muslim brothers. And besides, were Jewish 'traditions' truly important to us as they are, then I believe you will find that Muslims uphold these in a legalistic sense in a manner more true to them, to the extent that Maimonides himself gave Jews of the age permission to pray in mosques, but not churches. I hope we as Christians can rise above such political squabbles and find our calling in the fights that The Lord calls us to fight, rather than those fuelling divisions between our cousins and those that denigrate us into second class instruments of the first-born true chosen people of God.
