October 3, 2023 Please pray with me. According to tradition, St. Gertrude the Great was told by Our Lord that each time she piously recited the following prayer, it would release 1,000 souls (or a vast number) from their suffering in purgatory: Eternal Father, I offer You the most precious blood of thy Divine Son, Jesus, in union with the Masses said throughout the world today, for all the Holy Souls in Purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the universal Church, for those in my own home, and in my family. Amen. In her account of another vision, St. Faustina describes Purgatory as a "great crowd of suffering souls" undergoing purification. Further, she says that the souls are "praying fervently, but to no avail, for themselves; only we can come to their aid" (Diary, 20) Father I need your grace again because I am not the witness I want to be.

Fr. Mike, I don’t know if anyone else may have commented on this point, but if you are reading the NABRE, the reading for Esther is from the Prolog to Chapter One. It took me a little bit trying to scrub the video then sort of match what is in the RSV-2CE to the NABRE. It would help future listeners if you put it in the notes that in the NABRE it is from Prolog to Chapter One. My Best Half and I have been at it all 274 days and counting.

You know sometimes I can tie myself up in knots over this stuff, the extra books, the unfamiliar words ie, deuterocanonical, Septuagint, vulgate, I am trying to research the Catholic faith, whilst it is interesting, there is a sense of "well which of us has got it right" Now I am thankful for you scholars out there who study and learn, and impart that knowledge to me, and in light of that prayed this morning that God would give me something to say on here today, because I had nothing except questions. So as I was gardening (week off yay) I felt God saying to me Luke 18 v17 " I tell you the truth, anyone who does not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will not enter it" My conclusion is not to fret too much about the brainy stuff, receiving Jesus can be so simple that even a child could understand it. Sorry this is a waffle, but sometimes I just want someone to chew the fat with, and you folks are it ! On a lighter note Proverbs 16 v31 says " Grey hair is a crown of glory, it is gained in a righteous life" Shakespeare said "How ill white hairs become on a fool and jester" I think he means that grey hair denotes wisdom, I will take that as it makes me very wise indeed !! Praying for us all.

The book of Esther is so beautiful. It is so wonderful that Nehemiah is so consistent and being a virtuous man and we need rejoice men in our world the day. So much truth in the verses from Proverbs today. It’s especially true about the strength of younger men and the beauty and glory of older men due to their gray hair.

Continue my last email. I was twenty two years old when I joined the church. Where's baptized because I was an adult I i had a sponsor. Now I'm 67. I came back to the church Because of father Mike start listen to Here somebody's topics. He convinced me. To come back to the church listening to things that he said. And I took the class again online. The clash you take before baptism. I have learned more. What I believe is a practicing Catholic. Can I did on the first time around becoming Catholic cause? I didn't know what that believed that first. Before I left the church. I did not know what I believed. I was just a catholic. But now i'm a practicing Catholic. And before I did not know. The Eucharist Jesus Christ real body and blood. I thought it was only a symbol before. If family friend of ours, they are Catholic. He explained that doctor and to me. It's a real body and blood of Jesus Christ. And he sent me a link where the bread turned to blood. It was a miracle. I have learned so much since I came back the things that I did not know. When I was just going through your KZbin. I was watching different things. I kept on coming back to father. Mike. And I believe that was gone by the Holy Spirit. I kept Coming back to his channel. At the time I was Baptist. I left the Baptist church. I'll return to the And I told it back to church are may Returning to the Catholic church. I go to holy rosary woodland california.

An important episode about leadership *_ Proverbs 20:29 - Gray hair is the glory of elders like the strength is the glory of the young. *_ Nehemiah is indeed a great example of a leader. Nehemiah didn't abuse his powers but was kind to all, and even invited others to build the wall. *_ Nehemiah also shows why Jesus said that we must "be as wise as a serpent and as harmless as doves" by praying to God and then being on guard against the enemies who'd attack him and the builders. *_ Fr. Mike's explanation about the reason behind the change of order of Chapters 11 and 12 of Esther was great. St. Jerome's Vulgate (Latin Bible) and Martin Luther connection also is important to note.
