Reminds me of the missions in Paraguay except they aren't as old. Kind of a sanctuary from the later oppressors

Hi Derek, only just found your channel. Excellent so far! Going to watch the rest over next few days. Better than any high budget tourism advert. Keep up the FANTASTIC work. The little insightful history comments add real value to your production and a mega draw for overseas viewers.

Derek...thank you for not only being a tour guide but also a historian. My ancestors were Irish so I’m very interested in the land of my nativity.

Hi Derek I was watching videos about the blasket Islands and then found your channel. Really enjoying watching your adventures! I am going to watch your Ireland trip in the correct order now after watching randomly over the last few weeks. All the best from Birkenhead England, Stephen.

Derek this is looking to be a great introduction to the Irish Country side. Just might need to add a hike in Ireland to the bucket list

Derek, loved the pre-cooked breakfast freshen up at the river and am sure the fry up was like nectar :-) Glendalough looked stunning and your thoughts on the monastic settlement were pretty cool.

Thanks Derek, looking forward to more of this trail. Is there a specific map of this trail, or is it combined trail to get from point A to point B
