I’m always fascinated with how true hikers have suspended, so to speak, their routine life, and while technology keeps you connected to your family and outside events, you are not inundated with the minutia that is Wimbledon or a golf tournament or a hurricane or how many murders there are in some random city. That has to be an amazing void of stimulus and garbage ‘in.’ Even on my section hikes I felt the relief of the perceived vacuum. I will, however, request a little more detail like the name of your shelter. I got interstate 90 but a little more detail would help me continue your purple magic marker progression line Sobo on my 3 1/2 foot map . 🤔please.

Ya I really do enjoy being disconnected in that sense. It's great having no clue whats going on in Politics. Ya I keep forgetting to say the names of Shelters. That day I started at Kay Wood Shelter and ended at the Shaker Campsite

Seems you have run across my friend from Kentucky, Bluegrass on trail and his buddy bandit. They met on the trail and have actually been hiking the majority of it together since. Bandit is Chuck Howell and he talks about you on his post, which is how I knew. that’s the fellows, I alerted you to crossing paths with (‘goatee’ guy)and it looks like you did !!

Thanks! No I haven't but I did have an 8 and 14 on days when I was in town. I don't have any in my plan / schedule so we'll see.
