That deload bench press workout resulted in sore pecs like I haven’t had in a while. Bromley must be right when he says there’s no substitute for volume. I was running out of time in this squat workout, otherwise I would have done more sets. Anyway, blah blah blah lift the weights!

Sounds like you hit the right muscles - good work. There is a danger in Bench that people use their front delts and mainly shoulders when benching - that comes from having the bar too much over the upper chest and near the throat. You had yours just right then - nice work.@@Schismarch
