Near the end of this clip, I would say that the extra thing about hearing the Word of God is that it ties to when two or more are gathered in God's name. If you read out loud, it's a bit better than just reading what's on the page. But the big deal is when one person reads out loud and another hears, it's God working through them. It's not just the reception of the Word, but the giving of it. Instead of just receiving the gift, one is using the gift and sharing it. It multiplies it. It fulfills in some way some of the evangelical call we are called to be part of. The faith is not meant to be a solo endeavor. Yes, we have our one-on-one times with God, but there's a big part of it that's communal and sharing with smaller groups of people.

Father Mike, I agree with you in the last part of your reflection about there is mysterious power when I read the Bible with you everyday and listen to your reflection while i write down your messages. I have filled up 4 thick composition notebooks since I started writing down your messages in January 1, 2021. And I do not get tired slowing down your voice over and over so that i do not miss anything you say. God is so good. My longing to have a Catholic priest read and explain to me the entire Bible was finally gifted to me by God after 69 years! You are the perfect choice and thank you for your Yes! You are always in my prayers 2x a day: Rosary and Divine Mercy.

Then I realized, that even when I am on the latest podcast, and therefore listening on the "correct" day, I realized that I am still hours behind from when Fr. Mike is reading the bible. No matter where you are in BIAY in comparison with others. It does not matter. Today is Day 327. Last time was Day 326. The next will be Day 328. No one is "behind" in this BIAY.

Dearest saint in the making Fr. Mike; You help me understand the scriptures, when I read them I don't understand what it means, but it also helps me more hearing the scripture read aloud. I also noticed that when you say a prayer for the scripture readings or the catechism you don't always start the prayer by doing the sign of the cross.

And I know that's the grace of god called me to go back to the Catholic church. I can't do very much in church for the Mike cause. I used to Usher and take up the offline because of my health problems. I cannot walk for very long . So now I'm greeting people coming in given there. I'm giving them the bulletins and saying good morning. I can stand but I can't walk that long. I have to use a cane . I have I Spine Injury Doesn't matter? I have a health problem. Proverbs 27 10 - Do not forget your friends or your father's friends. If you are in trouble don't ask a relative for help; a nearby neighbor can help you more than relatives who are far away. 11 - Be wise, my child, and I will be happy; I will have an answer for anyone who criticizes me. 12 - Sensible people will see trouble coming and avoid it, but an unthinking person will walk right into it and regret it later. Thank you for all your hard work Fr Mike. Question around a "hard heart". What's the difference between God hardening Pharoah's heart in Exodus vs our own hard hearts, i.e. not turning to God. You talked about it in this video but I'm not sure I fully got it. It's often something I reflect on as my wife hasn't turned to God...yet :)

My kids don't go to Mass Anymore and it's all my fault. I made sure that they were baptized. Confirmation confirm. I have twin boys fourteen years old. Daughter sixteen years old. A gun everything for them . But it was all my fault that they don't go. I Left the church because I didn't know what I believed I was Catholic by name. Turn up but not practicing Catholic . I came back to the church I'm been back for fifteen months now. My wife is the same way. She doesn't go anymore because of me. I talked to my wife but she doesn't wanna go. She brains up of all the churches I went to and I said i'm sorry And I asked her did you forgive me She said you did say you are sorry. When my kids were little. We were all going to The church When I left they thought they did something wrong My wife told them no you did nothing Wrong dad is not mad at you. That was hurtful when they thought I was mad at him. My wife sees me every sunday leaving for church. My kids see me when I come home from mass So my family does see me going to mass and coming home after mass.

What have I learned Disability I was in special education classes . Even though I'm slow, I've understanding. I understand the gospel, and that's the main thing. Took me a while. Do you understand the gospel? I took the classes the second time around. Because I didn't get it the first time. So when I took it to second time around? I did it online so I can go back-and-forth and listen to It again. When does the things I didn't understand before? I did not know the holy communion. Was jesus christ body in blood. I thought it was a symbol. Can I stop when I'm go to confession? When I say bless me father so I have I thought the priest forget sin. And I learned that if it was God father That forgives sin . The priest is there to guide us and give us pentance.

December 1, 2023 Do you have just a moment in time to pray for Souls in Purgatory with me? According to tradition, St. Gertrude the Great, was told by Our Lord that each time she piously recited the following prayer, it would release 1,000 souls (or a vast number) from their suffering in purgatory: Eternal Father, I offer You the most precious blood of thy Divine Son, Jesus, in union with the Masses said throughout the world today, for all the Holy Souls in Purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the universal Church, for those in my own home, and in my family. Amen. In her account of another vision, St. Faustina describes Purgatory as a "great crowd of suffering souls" undergoing purification. Further, she says that the souls are "praying fervently, but to no avail, for themselves; only we can come to their aid" (Diary, 20)

God, Who has mercy on whom He will have mercy, and Who desires all men to be saved, gave us His Mother to be our Mother. She prays for ALL of us SINNERS, now and at the hour of our death. Her prayers are invincible. So I believe the great Theotokos Mary obtains for all sinners a last chance to accept Jesus in the moments before death. As St. Therese said to God of the murderer Pranzini, "I will believe You saved him, even if he gives no outward sign of repentance."
