I want to thank everyone, especially the 54 people who left a comment, for praying for me for my kidney cancer surgery last Thursday. The surgeon removed one kidney which was encased in cancer but said that there was no more cancer anywhere else. I am now home and walking 40 minutes a day slowly. I have no doubt that the prayers for intercession from our CIY community are responsible for my tremendous blessing.

I've been thankful for the Handmaids of Jesus in Duluth offering women's morning reflections with Mass, prayer, and time for Adoration,Confession, and reflection. We received this card on God's voice vs the Enemy's voice comparing the 2: God's voice Calms.....the Enemy's obsesses Comforts.....worries Convicts.......condemns Encourages....discourages Enlightens.....confuses Leads............pushes Reassures....frightens Stills.....rushes Please pray for me everyone. Prayers are like those bunny hops that keep us afloat. The special places and the times of prayers help us to focus and be consistent in prayers. Almost like helping us to make it a habit. This podcast has been a great help in making us pray and remember God more than we usually do. It's often said that a group prayer is an effective prayer, thus, shows the importance of the Mass. The pilgrimage also acts like a capsule that helps us to focus on God. "We cannot pray at all times if we do not pray at specific times" is so true because discipline builds habit and changes the heart. Like an electronic device's charger connected to a port, we must stay connected with God through constant prayers. Thank you so much for this and so many episodes so far, Fr. Mike and Team Ascension. One can pray anywhere, but the choice of an appropriate place is not a matter of indifference when it comes to prayer. The Church is the proper place for liturgical prayer and Eucharistic adoration. The rate includes a 52 weekly lesson on the history of the Roman Rite Mass going back to the first century. Worth every penny for me. I am also doing "Augustines confessions" thru Catholic Classics presented by Ascension....free but not on Ascension App.

I have a Story to share about the pilgrimage being the microcosm of ones life. In 2019 I went to Israel with my church and it was one week Trip and one evening we went on the Mount Tabor by feet and because our guide was kinda careless , I got lost half way on the Mountain. My Group especially my mother started to worried about me. I somehow after a while of searching found my way to the top. And this remained in my memory of the Israel Trip. Now I realize if the part where I got lost is a microcosm of my life it probably stands for the Part in my life where I got schizophrenia at the age of 20 and dropped my education etc. But as in that Trip to Israel god will let me reach the top of the Mountain. Amen. Thank you Jesus. I am not lost with schizophrenia, I am being led.

Greetings! CIY community greetings!! Here in Day 345, we understand the following. You can pray anywhere but it's effective in the church during Mass and in adoration. Pray at all times but pray regularly at specific times in solitude in a place made sacred by the presence of Sacred Scriptures, icons, candles. Prayers are offered in three places, namely in person, monasteries, and during pilgrimages. The various ways of prayer are vocal, meditative, and contemplative. Prayer is the life of a new heart. St Gregory Nazianzen tells us that we should remember God more frequently than we breathe. Let's pray for Fr Mike, all the clergy, seminarians, and all of us in the CIY community. Also, to those we promised to pray. Amen!

During special times whether it is CIY, BIY, or talking to a priest in confession (and other times) God is so real and present for me and it is a humbling, amazing, thankful experience. December 11, 2023 Do you have just a moment in time to pray for Souls in Purgatory with me? According to tradition, St. Gertrude the Great, was told by Our Lord that each time she piously recited the following prayer, it would release 1,000 souls (or a vast number) from their suffering in purgatory: Eternal Father, I offer You the most precious blood of thy Divine Son, Jesus, in union with the Masses said throughout the world today, for all the Holy Souls in Purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the universal Church, for those in my own home, and in my family. Amen. In her account of another vision, St. Faustina describes Purgatory as a "great crowd of suffering souls" undergoing purification. Further, she says that the souls are "praying fervently, but to no avail, for themselves; only we can come to their aid" (Diary, 20)

I pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet every day around 3:00 for everyone here. I’m halfway through St. Faustina’s Diary. I was listening to the daily stream of Fr. Roesch reading it but got way behind in July. I plan to listen to the rest in 2024 & go through BIAY also. My parish has a Divine Mercy Cenacle. We meet weekly & go through a manual on Divine Mercy which includes reading the Diary, parts of Scripture, & the Catechism. It’s like a little class. This year we started doing corporal & spiritual works of mercy. We collect non perishable food items & donate to a local Catholic food bank. We also go to a nursing home on 1st Friday & teach interested residents the Divine Mercy Chaplet & a little bit about St. Faustina. If your parish doesn’t have a Cenacle you can start one, maybe a priest would be interested in helping advise?

I plan to go through the BIAY starting in January & finish the 6 months left on St. Faustina’s Diary.🙏❤️ I’m also looking into Divine Will Era with Fr. Joseph Iannuzzi. He’s going through the writings of mystic & Servant of God Luisa Piccarreta. He’s doing an online study course, Living in the Divine Will. Luisa started having locutions early in the 20th century & was told to write down what Jesus was teaching her, much like St. Faustina. Her writings have the Imprimatur of her Archbishop & her cause for sainthood has been opened.

I’m doing BIAY & St. Faustina’s Diary. I started the Diary but had to stop. Got too busy with the “in a year” ‘casts. Catholic Classics (also by Ascension) is doing Augustine’s Confession. So, the church/sanctuary is for prayer. It is not entertainment. Applause is not appropriate, neither is secular discussion before or after the sacred mass. Prayer, silence, reverence and adoration should be all that is happening in the sanctuary when Jesus is present.
