What a perfect Christmas message: Jesus came in human form to give us a new, divine nature (1 Pet 1:4) that will permit us to be welcomed in the New Heaven and New Earth (1 Pet 1:11). God will put death and corruption to death and make all things new (1 Pet 3:13), and we will celebrate Christmas with our loved ones, and even the very angels and shepherds who were there in Bethlehem. He will bring peace to the new Israel, and restore His people to Himself. “Let us adore Him!”

TLC, I'm glad you talked about the book of 1 Enoch. It's true that it should not be in the Bible, and 1 Enoch even says about itself that it should not be added to the Canon. But it needs to be pointed out that the account of the angels put in prison as a result of sexual sin in the days of Noah - which both Peter and Jude reference - is found nowhere in the Old Testament. It comes only from the so-called pseudepigraphical books, primarily 1 Enoch. While it's true these books were probably not written by the person whose names they bear, this was not necessarily considered scandalous in ancient times like it would be today. The information 1 Enoch contains is valuable for Christians today because it describes what went on in the days of Noah, and Jesus said, "Just as it was in the days of Noah, so will it be in the days of the Son of Man." We need to know what was going on then so that we can better understand what is going on now in these last days.

I say Amen. We know by the Spirit and the invalidation of the Word when the false prophet speaks heresy. Where is the fruit of the Spirit in their lives? We can know and not act. We can believe and then deny. But thanks be to the Father who loves us and protects us as we seek Him. He is holy. We are to be holy. Obedient to His Word and discerning of His Prophets.

Believe and be Christ-like. This verse is so true. I’ve heard people, scoffers, say “it is the same as always,” despite the signs of a world in pain and chaos. Merry Christmas and have a blessed New Year in His Word. A place of peace, comforting and Hope. ”that you should remember the predictions of the holy prophets and the commandment of the Lord and Savior through your apostles, knowing this first of all, that scoffers will come in the last days with scoffing, following their own sinful desires.
