My husband Stan is having a PET scan at 8:00 CST this morning. Please pray for a miracle. We are praying the mass is gone. If not we still believe for a miracle and God’s healing. Most of all we want God to be gloried through this. Please pray for strength and peace through the journey. Thank you. God bless you all.

This is my 3rd yr in reading through the Bible with TBR and Tara Leigh and I thank God for both!! As a 66 yr old guy who was saved over 45 yrs ago, I believe that the book of Romans and the upcoming chapters we will be reading are the most powerful passages that show that believers are called to walk free from sin by the Holy Spirit which is much more than positional! This is fantastic news which means that we as believers in Christ do not have to sin but can daily walk free from sin by the Holy Spirit and only by the Holy Spirit! First, we have to see this truth from God's Word, aim at the target and put our faith in the Holy Spirit. We cannot walk free from sin by trying harder. God gets glory when we are living holy lives and not sinning. Jesus provided this victory on the Cross! God bless TBR, Tara Leigh and my brothers and sisters as we study God's Word!

The book of Romans is so rich in theology. The Lord certainly blessed the Apostle Paul with understanding, which now we are able to learn from. Chapter 3 really stands out. Not one of us is righteous (verse 10). We are all sinners and fall short of God's glory (verse 23). The Lord, in His grace and mercy, gave us His Son, Jesus Christ. It is only through the blood of Jesus Christ that we are saved. He is the propitiation (the offering, sacrifice) that was made in which we are made justified through faith (verses 24-25). Wow! Praise His holy name! Yes and Amen. Acknowledging our waywardness keeps us humble and leads us to maintain a repentant heart. As I've heard in a previous sermon from my church, repentance is a gift from God.

First of all, Tara Leigh, let me say that red is definitely your color! You look beautiful in it. Second, let me thank you for your clear and non-intimidating explanations. Years ago I read through the Bible in a year on my own without any commentary and I was lost probably 90% of the time. This year with you has been so enlightening and enriching for me. I’m going to do it again next year! Καλά Χριστούγεννα!

In Rom 2:29, God wants us with changed hearts, hearts that are changed by faith, a faith that gives us the gift of obedience (Rom 3:31). Part of that obedience is praying for our churches (Rom 1:9), that we will be filled with grace and peace and a commitment to the Gospel.

It is hard to choose one thing. Several verses are familiar and I have memorized some in the past. Two things stood out that were different this morning though. One was Paul's constant remembrance and prayer at all times for these other believers (Romans 1:9-10) and the mutual encouragement of faith (Romans 1:12). The second was condemning ourselves when we judge others because we do the same things (Romans 2:1). God spoke to me about this through someone else's testimony this morning on a prayer Zoom for my business. Then, here it is again. I repented of this and am chosing to honor and pray for others. 🙏🏽

Thank you for exposing clearly that we all find ourselves guilty of some of the things that the apostle Paul listed even as believers, and therefore should not judge others as though we did something to merit God's grace. What attitude then should we have towards these people who still live in these things??

The Bible says that we know those who believe by their fruit. And also those who profess to be believers in Jesus and PRACTICE sin , to not even eat with such a one. There are believers who struggle with certain sin, but that’s the difference I think. Believers struggle with sin and are sorrowful and prayerful to be rid of it. Sanctification is a process and if you see true believers that are practicing sin and looking like the world you can pray for them and encourage them through the scriptures. If they’re not concerned with their sin it’s possible that they may not know God. We should all be in prayer for the Body. That we would abide in the Vine and produce the character of Jesus in our lives to make a difference in this dark and evil world. Come along side one another and disciple one another.🙏🏾🙏🏾

Followers of Jesus are the ones that "struggle" with sin. People of the world do not struggle with sin because they do not see it as sin at all. Our struggle is our heart's desire to be aligned with the will of God. That is why, to me, we repent continually. Our heart's desire is to be pleasing in Jesus' eyes. Thank you Jesus for your mercy and grace as we will always fall short!

We are to love the sinner, just as Jesus loved us (as sinners). Love the sinner, not the sin. Jesus' life was the perfect example of this and we have to work each day to live in His example!

God is righteous and loving. He is perfectly just and perfecting forgiving. Jesus allows the Father back to us through His sacrifice of His perfect flesh in death IN OUR PLACE. We repent and He rightfully punishes Jesus’ flesh ON OUR BEHALF and then He perfectly forgives our debt as paid by Jesus. The mystery of God’s plan revealed!

‭‭Romans‬ ‭3:23‭-‬28‬ ‭NLT‬‬ [23] For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. [24] Yet God, in his grace, freely makes us right in his sight. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins. [25] For God presented Jesus as the sacrifice for sin. People are made right with God when they believe that Jesus sacrificed his life, shedding his blood. This sacrifice shows that God was being fair when he held back and did not punish those who sinned in times past, [26] for he was looking ahead and including them in what he would do in this present time. God did this to demonstrate his righteousness, for he himself is fair and just, and he makes sinners right in his sight when they believe in Jesus. [27] Can we boast, then, that we have done anything to be accepted by God? No, because our acquittal is not based on obeying the law. It is based on faith. [28] So we are made right with God through faith and not by obeying the law.

When I was reading Rm. 1:29-31 I thought "I'm so many of these things." Given what TLC said this makes me worry that I may be receiving God's passive wrath because I continue to do some of these things. Is He letting me continue in my sin unchecked, giving me over to those sins?? Do I have God's grace?? I know she said Believers wouldn't incur this wrath, but it makes me worry.
