Awesome session! You have reduced the maximum weight you went for from the last session - no issue with that. Going for too high a weight too soon is not a great strategy, you do a buttload of volume in your bench sessions as well which I think is the way to go rather than always trying for a moon shot. Slow and steady is always the better way, minimizes the chances of injury which is the highest priority. Good stuff!!!

Thanks! Yeah, I’ve been plateaued in 1rm for a long time, so I’m trying to push a lot of volume and build up slowly. I figure once I get to 5 reps at 170, my max will be increased, and I can move everything up a bit. Today felt good; hitting 8 reps at 135 on the way down the pyramid is a big milestone for me! Grind grind grind! I always appreciate your comments. Hope you’re well and staying strong!

@@Schismarch Just figured out a huge riddle in the plant, so I am on top of the world at the moment. So simple once you know the solution but it gave us a few days of shenanigans. I totally agree with the pyramid technique - build the base and the tip of the pyramid will get higher. Plus you get plenty of time under the bar to really get your technique worked out.
