We are in the last days. Things will get worse before they get better. But, this is a call to all saints to be watchful and endure to the end because that end will be great for all who believe. There will be no more pain, or sorrow, or death. All will be made right. Even though the devil and all who are unbelievers will try to war against the Lord, they will not succeed! Our King of Kings and Lord of Lords will prevail (Revelation 17: 14)! Praise the name of the Lord!

Sounds like TLC doesn't think that way. Her view seems to be a preterist or partial preterist view which believes that the events in the book of Revelation already happened in the past. I don't agree but I do really appreciate TLC.

God so loved the world! His ways are so much higher than ours! He is faithful and just! He is so patient, he is not pacing the throne room nor shocked. He is sovereign! He is good! He is Holy! More and more, my confidence is in Jesus. He gives faith to stand and solid hope. Reading the Bible all the way through, chronologically has brought a better context for me. It’s changing my life. My 17 year old started TBR before I did and she’s almost finished but going at a different pace. I loved that TLC said to readers, you are right where God wants you, his timing is perfect. My husband is going to start it with me for 2024!! That is a HUGE deal! One way to abide in Christ is to open his word. I’m so thankful for this plan!

I can imagine the comfort these chapters would be to first century Christians. Rome was the cause of so much misery for them, including John himself. John was tortured and then exiled, many of his closet companions were murdered by Rome.

We’ve traveled through the Scriptures together imperfectly but day by day. 12:11 “They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb…” 17:14 “They will make war against the Lamb, but the Lamb will overcome them because he is Lord of lords and King of kings- and with him will be his called, chosen and faithful followers.” This seems to be the theme of Revelation and my Godshot, also. ✝️❤️🐑👑

I appreciate and am comforted by the interpretation of the mark of the beast being the anti-shema and the name of the ruler and system of the opposition to God’s kingdom. There may not be some physical coding or mark that controls whether we can buy anything (as we’ve seen in movies like “A Thief in the Night”), but rather an identity of alignment and faith in an evil, authoritarian culture-or faithfulness to the Lord. What we do know is that Jesus calls us to suffer faithfully and know that we will join Him and the saints forever in the New Jerusalem that we’ll read about tomorrow!

I agree. I looked it up. Shema meaning: literally means “listen, heed, or hear and do.” In the video it states an allegiance to God. This is what God wants for us, to return to Him. We’re either with Him or against Him, which is the anti-shema. In this book, He is giving opportunities to return to Him. My prayer for unbelievers…to repent and return to Him. Allegiance to Him only.

I love the Bible recap and I love Tara Leigh! I jumped into the Bible reading on May 23rd- 2 Samuel 24, 1 Chronicles 21-22, and Psalm 30. I can’t wait to start the entire Bible in 2024! I have a correction for today. It’s chapter 13 verse 10b that says “Here is a call for the endurance and faith of the saints.” Not verse 11.

Rome is not the beast because the angel said so. He said the beast "was, and IS NOT, and is about to come up..." The beast was not around when the angel gave John this revelation.
