If I was that close it would take more than a Folly Foot fence to stop me bagging a trig - golf course or no golf course! Oh well nedder mind ...That was a most delightful walk Carol Ann TY very much 🙏🙂 Lots of lovely surprises along the way, esp the waves out on the reef 🌊 and the seals 😃 ...Oh and a nice surprise seeing you co-hosting on Boaty's Live last night too btw 👍 Have I missed something? Like - is the engagement official now? The Peak District-Southport union? You do appear to make a nice couple 😊 Safe travels!!

It must've felt so good to be out on a proper walk again Carol 👣...like you said, it's been a little while ✋ And with the sounds of the sea, little beaches and lots of seals, what's not to like 😍 The coast always seems to be different each day, invariably something to hold the interest 🦭🌊 Your emotion with the seals definitely resonates 😌❤ I often feel that if you just really observe or listen, nature has a way of triggering emotions...be it the power of wild waves 🌊 birdsong or deer in the woods 🦌or just the sound of rain falling through the trees...it's a powerful thing ❤️ Too often I get lost in thought though 😂 Have a great week Carol 🤗🤗
@carol_ann_living.in.the.moment12 күн бұрын
I'm guessing there are areas close to you Martin were you can see the seals too 😊

@@carol_ann_living.in.the.moment yes, definitely Carol...there are a few places, some a bit too popular for my liking, but there are a couple of walks where I'm almost guaranteed to see them and just have the peace and quiet to watch them just doing their own thing ❤️ lovely to watch...and listen 😌🤗🤗

Wow incredible amount of seals! Poor Moll, huge stone! That was a WW2 Pill Box thingy for soldiers to keep watch, they are all around the coast, creepy things I hate them. I get emotional about beautiful sights too, and I'm way older than you. Nice video thanks.

Hi Carol Ann, I really enjoyed this one as my brother and his wife now live in Flamborough and I will be there again on the 20th of this month when I travel down from Scotland via Knaresborough hopefully. When you first spotted the 2 seals, I was egging you on to the next bay lol. You found them. Yes it can feel emotional the first time. When I visit I always drive down to the lighthouse. We regularly frequent The Ship Inn at Sowerby. Did you notice they have pitches at the rear with hook up. Lovely pub and lovely food. If at the end of the vlog you walked into Flamborough and saw the green my brothers house looks over it towards another pub called The Ship. I can't wait to get back down there next weekend. From Saltburn on sea all the way down to Flamborough is worth investigating. Its all beautiful 😊
@carol_ann_living.in.the.moment12 күн бұрын
Awe well I hope the weathers slightly better when you visit 😊. I didn't notice the pitches in the car park but it's definitely handy to know so thank you. Have a safe journey when you travel down ♥️

I have been to the top off the old light house a few years ago with the councillor for the area who was one of many who had it restored. The concrete structures where from the 2nd world war and used as observation posts and there are quite a few further down the coast of which a lot are now in the sea or on the beach due to coastal erosion. I visit there quite a lot with our motorhome as we just live 12 miles away

The structure you almost went into on the clifftop was a WW2 pillbox, part of the coastal defences as lookout posts to watch for the enemy approaching. They were all along the south and east coasts.

I went there seal spotting just over a year ago. I didn't see any so I took a few pictures and left. I was looking through the pictures, I'd taken one of the drinking dinosaur and I saw a lot of black things on the beach , I zoomed in on the picture and saw loads of seals. Never noticed them when I was actually there 🤷♂️🤷♂️🙄🤣....The concrete block is a pill box from ww2 , coastal defence.
