One week in, we've seen three days of jury selection that netted 12 jurors, with dozens of dismissals, and a stack of new motions. Read is accused of hitting and killing her boyfriend, Boston Police Officer John O'Keefe, with her SUV in 2022.

Who designed this courthouse? Seriously, part of the jury box is behind the witness box. I don’t know about you, but if I was on the jury, I’d want to see the face of a witness as they testify. Is there an ounce of common sense down there?

I was shocked too but maybe we're missing the point. This could be a helpful tool to assist in profiling and bias. Next time, they should have the jury seated down the hall. I think someone needs to sue the contractor/developer and have that person hold up diagrams while in the witness box to support their defense - and not be able to later pass them around to the jury.

I doubt Auntie Bev will allow anything to be presented to the jury that makes any division of the CW look bad, especially Proctor's conflict of interest. I also wouldn't be surprised if she tries to keep out any exculpatory evidence in favor of Read. The 200' was also unconstitutional but she did it any way. I hope she gets sued & disbarred.

As it is apparent you don't possess even a basic understanding of how evidence is evaluated in a court case, the bottom line is there are rules governing what is and is not allowed under the law. Contrary to your belief a judge does not decide these legal issues based on feelings.

You need to stop with your ridiculous rants, watch all the court proceedings, understand the court documents then look up the definition of bias & watch how Bev applies it to the defense. Have you wondered why she finishes Lally's sentences because he can't but doesn't allow the defense to complete a sentence? No sanctions for the prosecution failing to meet discovery deadlines & turning over of evidence to the defense? Ignores the 1st Amendment because people are supporting KR? The bias is so blatant there have been multiple motions & requests for Bev to be removed or step down from the case! She is part of the whole family & friend group. Even though she has been moved to civil court she demanded to be the judge on this case. Not too suspect. No doubt she will be setting up more than sufficient appellate issues.

I’ve been on that stand and it’s awkward bc the attorney is in front and you have to turn to face jury. This court room is known to have jurors who lose interest and this is a main reason.

Is the Defense claiming there was ZERO questioning of the homeowner? I am of the impression that a police officer entered the home and questioned the Alberts shortly after O'Keefe was transported to the hospital. The information I got was Officers "Lank, Goode, Gallagher" spoke with the Alberts while John O'Keefe was being transported to the hospital. This information was in a Livestream on the channel Yellow Cottage Tales and it made reference to a police report that has been put out by the Defense or Prosecution. I didn't check the report so I don't know how accurate the information from the Livestream is. ETA: A little further research reveals that Sgt. Sean Goode, Sgt. Michael Lank, and Lt. Paul Gallagher are listed as witnesses for the Prosecution.

It’s absolutely ridiculous these trials take so long to even begin. This happened 2 years ago! How are witnesses even supposed to remember details from that night? Such a joke it takes years to begin a trial

I know very little about this case thus have no opinion in regards to it, but I do think jurors should see witnesses as they give testimony and am surprised it’s never been brought up before.

IMO - It could be that was not the original intention. When people drink alcohol all kinds of things can happen including violence. Theoretically It may not have been a police officer who did the actual killing, but rather a relative of someone in law enforcement.

She was too drunk to remember and she didn't want to go into that house because none of those people liked her. They killed him because there was something they wanted on his phone and he wouldn't give it to them and there's police corruption and something going on behind the scenes. Brian wasn't corrupt the rest of them are.

I don't think she was too drunk, remember she has Crohn (very painful inflammations in the intestines) so you are always careful with all your food and drinks if you have that ( and I think she gave her friends drinks that evening) Yes, John O'Keefe knew Colin was selling drugs in John's neighborhood and he wanted to tell that to higher ups. But the Alberts didn't want it to get in public, maybe that was the main reason for the fight inside that house? And besides that The Alberts and their son Colin deliberately went to celebrate on John's veranda and also took pictures of themselves too and left the mess there for John when he was on vacation in Aruba. Colin also often deliberately threw cans into his garden, John had already been warned more than once to stop doing. So there was already bad blood between them all!

She had 2 horrible years already not the time for grieving about the love of her life (because she was arrested shortly that same morning after giving CPR to him) also losing his niece en nephew who she raised and loved as if they where her own children It is such a big cover up by police and the higher ups. And now finally the truth is reaching the public.. so she is very glad about that smiling again. This judge Beverly Cannone has treated her so falsely, because the real perpetrators are as family for her ( the called her auntie Bev! )She should have withdrawn as judge, because she has a great interest in ensuring that the real perpetrators remain free!

When asked if he/his family had a “line to Judge Cannone”, Sean McCabe stated: “Auntie Bev??? Whose seaside cottage do you think we're going to bury your corpse under?”

Maybe they did, but this is egg on the state’s face. The case is pretty preposterous given they say she did it on accident but then was so mad at him that she left him to die. She either did this on purpose or she didn’t do it. The accident turned vengeful murder is just doesn’t hold water. Trooper should have disclosed his personal relationships and removed himself from the investigation. Mistrial or not guilty by virtue of the above, you will get a hold out.
