Nice workflow - thank you for sharing. I have the Sage Breville Barista Pro machine ( similar to yours ) using the finest possible settings in the built in grinder ( including adjusting the factory settings on the burrs) . I was still having trouble with shots pulling too fast . I also experimented with using the pressurised basket ( this helped but I knew it wasn’t the solution) so I decided to upgrade to a Eureka Specialita grinder. Problem solved. Shots now dialled into 25-30secs with 18g shots. Keep up the good work 👏

One thing you dont want to do is preheat the portal filter on Breville/Sage machines.

36g of double shot should pouring between 20 and 30 sec. Ideally 25sec. You got 17sec.
