I think the series is going well and fine. And the mistakes and misses in the game is very relatable and doesn't take away from the series, it adds to the series, especially since you go over them and talk about what you can do different. Shooting up the ladder in perfect games isn't going to show anything.

Thanks! You are right this does make for a more relatable and interesting series.

This series is going very well. Man, after 18 months, what you're going through is pretty normal. I feel like you need to relax a little bit. You reached 2300 before, that's your success. Even if you lose 100 games in a row, that will not change. You don't need to prove yourself with this challenge. You just want your old abilities back and you also show us the path you're walking. Accidents can happen along the way, just keep doing what you do.

Yeah, you're totally right. I'm always like this, wanting to prove myself and get a perfect result every time. That mindset helps me achieve great things, but it also holds me back when things go badly.

You got sooo lucky in this game, that M1 and queen blunder are not so common in the same game :D we get your feelings, but quitting the challenge wouldn't be a wise choice... btw at 9:20 maybe Qd3 would be a good defensive move for white.

This was a very lucky save, I still can't believe how I didn't lose this one. Qd3 is a very solid choice, was also thinking about it during the game.

Honestly I feel like you care way too much about the rating. I get it, its a Challenge, but 18 months is a really long brake. Your main objective should be to reactivate your abilities, you may not gain so much elo for now, but thats just temporary. Also I find it interesting how we have similar problems (I feel like). Ive had a hard time respecting my opponents, because my online rating is much lower than my over the board-rating. That led to me blundering a lot of easy stuff, because I didnt actually look at the board and calculate. I was wondering, if just straight up calculation out loud could help you, maybe with some arrows on the board. Like, basically just saying the moves out loud and nothing else. Probably thats a bad idea, but idk I will try it myself, maybe that can fix my calculation Problems, so I thought might as well mention it. But honestly, even though its for a video, you still need to focus in chess and if this method helps I dont see any problem. Sorry for the long paragraph

Thanks for your comment. You are right that I care too much about the rating, also disrespect my opponents since they are lower rated which leads to me playing sloppy. Will try to change my ways.

@@Pegasus-Chess ❤️ Youll definitely get there. Achieving 2200 Rating is very impressive, just needs a bit of revising. Im trying to train my calculation for a classical game Im gonna have on friday against our strongest player from the chess club (Like 2050 national rating). I had a devastating loss last year so I hope Ill be able to put more of a fight this time

You said "If I lose this game then I may as well quit the challenge". Makes no sense. Are you not committed to the Challenge? Good luck to you though. Wish you the best. BTW...optimize your sleep for better focus and overall health.

Congratulations. You need to talk less and focus more particularly since you have not played in 18 months. That is a long time to be away from the game.
