Great video👍 Is there a particular reason why you used this kind of insulation? Is it better to use this type instead of the other type with the silver film that other people on KZbin are using?

Not really. The other type is a lot more expensive and more sensible to use internally.

I’m fascinated with your craftsmanship, but do not understand the owners’s intended use of this extension. In which seasons will it be used? There is no insulation in ceiling only a small amount above each window. The floors appear to be ground level bare brick. Why are French doors single plank handmade instead of pre-built exterior insulated with double pane glass? We haven’t gotten to window install yet but if exterior doors are an example, windows will not be double pane either. The only reason I can think of is that this room will only be used in spring and fall months? It is not intended to be a 4-season conservatory.

Thankyou. Conservatory’s typically are summer spaces. This is not classed as an “extension” hence the way they are built. As you said ground level floors no insulation. The roof was previous single pane glass which we upgraded. All windows were single pane glass but we are upgrading to double glazed panels. I hope this answers your questions. Thanks for watchinh
