Day 6-7 Flexi Rod Roller Set & Fluffing Coils | August Wash and Go

Hey curl friends! Welcome back to my #2024CurlVlog journey! For the month of August, I’ve been on an intentional challenge to stick to a simple wash and go routine, using the same products each week and only washing on Saturdays. But this week, I decided to have a little fun and switch things up-just for a moment!
Day Six:
In this video, I’m taking you through my Day Six routine where I decided to add some flexi rods to my hair for a gorgeous roller set. I sectioned my hair into eight large sections and carefully added the rollers. I’ll show you how I set my hair, including the nighttime protection routine where I wrap my hair with a scarf to keep everything secure.
Day Seven:
On Day Seven, it’s all about the big reveal! Watch as I remove the flexi rods and fluff my hair to reveal beautiful, bouncy coils and curls. I’m loving the volume and definition this quick detour from my challenge has given me! After fluffing, I’ll share my thoughts on how this roller set turned out and how I’m excited to get back on track with my wash and go routine tomorrow-because tomorrow is wash day!
This little deviation was a fun experiment, but I’m eager to return to my regular routine as part of the “Back to the Basics” challenge. If you’ve been following along, you know consistency is key, but it’s okay to switch things up every now and then. We’re all on this journey together, learning and experimenting with what works best for our curls!
