First of all, your opponent was a 1500 who played 1500-level moves: limited positional understanding and cute two-move sequences that achieve nothing but mutual liquidation. These 800s be thinking everybody cheating. Second of all... there you go again with the "we both played over 2000". Your thought process is agonizing to watch but I can't look away 😭

As someone stated on a previous video, the rating the analysis tool gives the players at the end of the game is not accurate. And you mostly seem to reference it when it's high as a way of validating your play. You did play solid moves this game, but it also required you to use up your entire clock on the opening and middle game. Once you recognize you are down on time, you need to speed up your play, even if it leads you to making sub optimal moves. You will sometimes spend a lot of time on a move and still play a sub optimal moves, so might as well save some time for more crucial positions.

You see 5 minutes on the clock vs 9 minutes of the opponent and you just know Patrick lost on time again.

Your getting high accuracy games because your playing the most simple boring openings that have no imbalances or tactical opportunities, your just gonna get beat in the endgame every time if u keep playing like this

I partly agree, but I get a lot of wins with the Caro Kann because I know the main ideas and can convert from a slight advantage. I think the Caro suits Patrick’s style as well but he’s got to work on his positional and tactical game. And of course time management.

Of late there have been quite a few cases where you pinned your own queen. At 14:52 you didn't pin your own queen. But you did allow it to be pinned when black played Qd4. So instead of playing Rd8 you could side step and play Qc6 and now the queen is no longer pinned. Or. later play Qf6 as shown in your analysis. This loss of one pawn - caused by the pin on the queen - was enough to decide the game. That said, apart from this one error you played a pretty good game. A good opening. Not sure I saw enough to suggest the opponent was cheating but you never know.

When doing your analysis you should spend some time looking at key moments in the game. At 13.28 the position was equal in material and I would say you had good winning possibilities. You played e4. Ask yourself if this was the best possible move? What problem did this create and what could have you done differently?To get better at endgames you should spend a few minutes studying your endgames.

if you are 1-2 Pawns down, then avoid exchanging Rooks in endgame. Then it's lost. With Rooks on board, you still have a chance for a draw or a blunder from opponent.

I've been up and down between 650 and 860 many times. I know that I have gotten much better but I think the algorithm selects opponents based on skill rather than their rating.

Patrick.... Bro! Your calculation has been way off lately man. Why were you so scared of the queen taking the pawn on e4??? You were so paranoid like they automatically win if you let them take on e4. Ummm, did you not see that them taking on e4 would be an instant win for you?? Just way off on calculation my homie. rook endgame are drawish, even a pawn down so try to keep the rook on the board and play ACTIVE with the rook

As a busy professional and father of three I can empathize with trying to find the time to dedicate to chess. You are a lot higher rated than me but from watching your videos over the past 18 months I think it is clear that more time dedicated to study is needed as the difference between winning and losing is thinner the higher rated you go. You are past the ELO of opponent blatant blundering and one move threat plans. A deeper understanding of middlegame plans, intermediate endgame strategy would be beneficial. I am sure you are aware of some famous streamers that play the Caro Kann that could offer some insights that could help you out. Keep fighting the good fight!

I watch you every day with my morning coffee so thanks. Here's my two cents worth. These one and two move threats you spend so much time on are largely garbage. You need to learn how pieces work together better and you need to know how to formulate a plan. The solution? 1. Get a physical board. 2. Buy Jeremy silmans Reassess your chess. 3.dont read the book, STUDY the book. 4. Do not advance to next game or exercise until you thoroughly understand what he is saying. You do this and I guarantee you will see the game in a better way. Good luck

Brotha that book is like 800 pages, with lots of variations to go through, it would take long long time to read it. I think his main issue is time, not in game but IRL. He’s got 2 kids to raise, a dog Emma, he works in IT, a wife that needs attention, a KZbin channel, plays guitar and piano. I’m amazed he is at 600 days.

The computer says 26 ... e4 is good when it's a terrible move allowing White to blockade and win your pawns. You should have played d4, or Rd8 then d4, to create a passed pawn.

Patrick! It seems you get way too much advice on this platform! Good luck integrating all of it, that seems an insurmountable task. You mentioned a coach in this video. I bet if you even took one day of coaching they could tell you what you need to do to eliminate your common weaknesses. I've considered a fiverr coach, but I dont know if that would be worth the money, or if theyre all phony.

@@KazimusaAhammed The accuracy is not very suspicious, even before Patrick's blunder there are a few inaccuracies. Sure, they didn't use much of their time, but the moves being made are pretty straight forward. It wasn't a very complex position. If anything, Patrick spent too much time, rather than the opponent spending too little. It's obviously impossible to rule out false play (as it's impossible to absolutely prove a negative), but if you're gonna call this opponent a cheater, you're going to be calling every other opponent a cheater.

As @Mark5071 said the moves seemed obvious, not a complicated position, most mistakes will happen in the end game, unless your name is Magnus Carlsen. I'm rated lower than these 2 but have games with 90% accuracy over 49 moves does that make me a cheater too being only a lowly 1000 elo player?
