It amazes me people would suggest you change things up when you obviously sound happy and seem to be enjoying what you are doing now. I suggest you keep doing what satisfies you and stay on the successful path you have found.

I’ve been following the carnivore way of eating since 1st January. I took your advice on the sardines and my weight loss has accelerated and to be honest, not eating meat at all is making me feel less heavy and sluggish. Great videos and very helpful. Thanks

Pain from gallbladder stones shouldn't really be ignored, especially if it doesn't pass after a few hours. The risks being a stone blocking a bile duct, entering into the panceeas, sepsis, cholestitis, etc. When i had stomach ache from a gallbladder flare up where it would usually subside after making myself vomit however on one occasion it didn't & was persistent. I phoned my GP surgery who urged me to go to A&E which i did as the risks can be life threatening. Its always worth getting another scan as more gallbladder stones can develop especially when cholesterol levels are raised thru a high fat diet.

Good video Rick. I wouldn't add the extra egg. Eggs alone won't bind things. They usually are combined with bread crumbs or grated parmesan. I use ground up pork rinds. That's how I get the burger like texture and that's only using one egg. I have tried using more eggs with beef before and no crumbs but they still fall apart and start to take away the original flavors. Keep it up though you're on the right track for sure! 😀👍❤

Rick, Don't add onion!!! For me it is almost like a gateway drug. Add garlic and the green stems/tops of onions and spring onions, but please do not risk sabotagueing yourself with normal onions. Eat what grows above the soil not what grows under the soil. Advice from someone who has been doing this for 7 years and made every mistake in the book:) Love the fish burger recipe, thanks!

I agree about onion being a gateway drug. If you fry onions they are sooo sweet! Best not to start back in on day 91. Maybe after a year?! But garlic and onion greens are good, and onion powder doesn't give the same sweet hit. Same with coffee - try a 90 day caffeine free experiment after you have been carb free for a year... I can see you are going to get a lot of people wanting you to 'treat yourself'. Anything that you add back in purely for pleasure or variety can open the door to a cascade of treats that can fairly rapidly dump you back to where you started. Just saying.

@@CarnivoreHipposinBikinis Very well said! I don't know about the coffee as I only have one mug a day and that is always caffeine free but fully caffeinated is not good for me at least.

Hi Rick, as I mentioned earlier about all fresh salmon being farmed, tinned and frozen salmon are wild. Red or pink salmon available tinned, (containing skin and bone - both good for us) and frozen - mostly pink - are all labelled wild Alaskan salmon. I buy mine from Lidl but am sure most other supermarkets sell .

Pork panko might be worth a try with sardine patties. Pork panko is baked pork rinds ground up to crumbs to replace bread crumbs in recipes. Some super-food sensitive people may not be able to tolerate it, however.

another thing i'm trying right now is chlorella. it's a freshwater alga which is full of nutrients and chlorophyll and detoxes your body and liver like nothing else. we were doing the celery juice at the start of the year. it also has lots of chlorophyll and the detoxing effects were noticeable from day 2-3. chlorella is even more detoxing.

weight loss is very important because if you're healthy, you're not overweight. if you still have extra pounds, it means there are health issues that are not quite yet resolved. in your case it's obviously the gallbladder which is crucial to all of digestion. without bile you cannot properly digest food, bad bacteria start growing in the small intestines and so forth. look it up if you haven't yet how crucial bile and liver are for your entire body.

Get some other kinds of fish. Hake with a cream and butter sauce. Place another great fish. Grilled salmon but don’t overcook them. Can you have fruit? If you can use a small bit of lemon juice in the sauce. You’re missing out on a lot of great foods that you could be eating. Duck , pheasant it’s endless but fish is a must. A lot of people think they don’t like fish because they remember the bones as kids. But prepared right you won’t have any. Try and get it fresh. Monday is a bad day for fish as nothing is really landed then. Only buy in a busy shop as they turn over a lot of fish and it’s usually fresh

Just bring a food item back one by one for a week at a time and your body will certainly tell you if you should not eat it. Day 80 check in for me. I have the target of 100 days. Currently my plan is just to continue on at the moment. We shall see what happens.

Onions and garlic are fine as flavours in small quantities Rick. They contain carbs so just be mindfull that they need to be used sparingly, but they're pretty pungent so you don't need a lot anyway :)

Brilliant that you are enjoying fish! I get sooo tired of the american carnivore emphasis on huge beef steaks as the best. And it seems to be popular to say "i hate sardines". Poor people food is looked down on. Tinned salmon is usually wild caught. If you're lucky you get bones as well. Look out for large tins of pilchards and mackerel. They are great value. Herring. Shellfish. Personally i eat a lot of lamb... for some reason the fat doesn't get trimmed off chops like it does from steak. I became carnivore to help with severe joint pain. It worked. So i am hugely motivatecto continue. At about 4 months in I realised i wasn't going back and that i didnt need to grow my own veg any more. That removed so much stress from my life! I thought I loved gardening but when it stopped I didn't mind at all! All those green leaves contributed so much to my joint pain and I never knew! Better late than never.

you can start making a list of suggestions of what you might add once the 90 days are over. one thing i suggested was your own homemade kefir because it's good for the gallbladder.

another thing i'm trying right now which is also supposed to be awesome for gallbladder and digestion is artichoke extract. i have loose powder and take a quarter of a teaspoon twice a day. i just started so i'm not sure if i should take it with food or not. it keeps the small intestines moving and clean. it's very important. you can look up migrating motor complex (MMC)

Hey Rick you can still eat some onion and garlic without getting knocked out of ketosis. There are a decent bit of carbs in onion but as long as you stay 20 grams of carbs or less per day it won’t kick you out of ketosis. The carnivore nazis would call blasphemy, but if a little added flavor keeps you on track it’s worth it.

Good to see another successful day completed mate👊. You’re doing so much better than me😂. We’ve got a lot going on at the minute with our son due to go into hospital for some major surgery so I’m not too worried about this at the minute. I was thinking of getting the quest 3 to join him in VR when he’s recovered is it as good as it looks?
@rickvanman
@rickvanman 7 ай бұрын
Sorry to hear that about your son, Tim, hope it all goes well. The quest 3 and VR in my opinion is excellent, but it can be a very marmite thing. I know others who have bought a headset to specifically play games with friends/family and it’s great for the first week, but then seldom gets picked up after the novelty factor has worn off a week later.
